I Hate the New Version!

I should first say that I am partially sighted. In the old version, the text on the left hand side (where the folder names are) was very legible. The text was just large enough and the contrast with the blue background made it very easy to read. However in this latest version, the folder text is much smaller and the white background makes it very difficult to read and move messages to specific folders. Now, if there was an option to resize the text for the folders, I would have given this app FIVE STARS!

I did the update this morning and now the app is crashing while looking at the news site that is included in the app.

Aol's newsfeed covers the most important subjects and stories of the day, everyday. I love the fact that the app makes everything easily accessible including the mail and settings.

What happened to the Facebook link

I have been using AOL for mail since they bought Netscape. When I started using Facebook I enjoyed the links between AOL email and Facebook - just click on the link in the email and up comes the appropriate Facebook page. With the latest upgrade to AOL email the Facebook link seems to broken. Now I just get a blank page. What happened?

I love AOL! Wish Gmail was the same. I use both and I am overwhelmed by the amount of mail I get in Gmail! Then I have to delete mail one by one! With AOL, it’s a zip!

AOL has killed itself!

Worst APP out there now! You've taken everything that made AOL good away! Now you're getting rid of email status. Why even be in business anymore? Can't check to see if my message is read, can't respond to people who respond to my news comments..... Time to move on!

Doesn't sync to Apple mail app. Love the folder setting, etc. but terrible for iPhones.

I just read one of my emails and it disappeared when I went back to new email!!! So since I know AOL and the way they like to be in control of me, I went to old mail and there it was. I had to send it back to new mail. I want to have the control to delete or send to old mail. Once again AOL has made a decision for me that I didn’t ask for. Please leave my email alone.

I’ve used the AOL app for more than a year. I don’t like the updated v5.0.0 because the menu bar with the trash icon is never available when needed. At best you have to scroll to get it to appear, and many times that doesn’t work. Very frustrating. The new version offers nothing better than the previous one for me and is a definite step backwards in usability.

It used to be after you read an email you could swipe to go back to new mail and you could continue scrolling from where you were- now it takes you back to the top.
