Would NOT use if not for the pandemic

AmazonAnon

Poorly executed app undercut further by employee ineptitude and a systemic practice of substituting poor unpopular products for the product you ordered. Slow, laggy application with limited functionality. Employees regularly fail to fulfill your order correctly: picking poor, bruised produce, picking the wrong item entirely IE parsley vs cilantro. There seems to be no incentive for the employee to do a good job picking products and assembling the order. Furthermore, the opt in function to disallow ‘substitutions’ by Amazon has routinely delivered poor, undesirable, alternatives which happen AFTER the order is placed. This happens so regularly that my theory is Amazon uses this on a massive scale to substitute products it has trouble selling to unsuspecting customers knowing that the customer has to jump through several hoops to cancel or get their money back. It is excruciatingly annoying to prepare for a meal and have a central ingredient replaced at the last minute with an unacceptable alternative which completely ruins the meal. This happens routinely. During a pandemic, delivering groceries which meet a bare modicum of acceptability should not be a problem. Would absolutely NOT use if my life were not in danger going to the grocery store.

App is glitching

Kdrake33

It won’t let you place your order

Worst Application

Julia Gulia Mulia

As an engineer, it’s even more salt on the wound of just how horrible this application is. Courier never shows up, can’t ever call or message within the app so have to load the website to navigate on deliveries (which happens on most deliveries), driver logistics are left out to pasture so you can’t even let them know ‘oh how this delivery won’t be delivered since the courier hasn’t picked up the delivery from the store during the delivery and even two hours after the window of time, oh and yes my app is up to date lol, deliveries are never made on time, it’s not just a horrible app, it’s horrendous as a UX experience, 0 out of 100. It’s hands down the worst application I’ve had to use in my life on a regular basis. I’ve deleted it so many times just from disbelief at the experience not becoming better.

Buggy app

anoble562

I use Prime Now almost exclusively and love the actual delivery service, but the app almost never works correctly on my iPhone. It just cycles through a screen that says “a problem occurred”. I have to place all of my orders on my browser.

Slow CRUD updates.

Jameshol

Amazon is $1 trillion company but they can’t get their head around database updates?

Excessive plastic

Andrew Fuchs

I really wish they would use less plastic to fill orders. Putting every little piece of produce in its own plastic produce bag is excessive and not necessary. Other than that I am a big fan of the service

Buggy app I can’t order from

micaelago

For months I’ve had to log in and place an order from a desktop computer because I am not able to place one through the app on my phone. Also when I click on an item it takes me back to the home page.

Items deleted every time

Dan99999999999

If amazon doesn’t have an item it deletes it from your cart. It doesn’t save it (or them) ANYWHERE! You have to manually add back items (remembering what it deleted) on EVERY ORDER. Why?!?!?!?!?!?!? FIX THIS NOW - makes using this app so difficult!

The app has been down for over a week

Collene1202

I’ve been trying to use it since last week and I’ve signed out, redownloaded, and restarted my phone. The app keeps telling me I have a “network connection problem” which is false. Very annoyed/disappointed.

The app itself is garbage

Iphone4s-

I don’t know who they let develop this, but you are way better off using the website. This is the slowest app on my phone, it is borderline unusable. To top it off the app does not seem to properly confirm changes. Today they asked if I was ok with a product replacement, I clicked reject and watched the circle waiting icon pop up for a moment before it confirmed it as rejected. I closed the app and went about my day. Two hours later I open it back up and the replacement magically accepted itself. This is not acceptable. It’s a grocery shopping app by a massive company not a next gen game by some startup. Why is it this bad??
