Need work on translator – Morse Code Guru Lite Review

This is my 1st morse translator. I preface this review by saying that this app is helping learn morse. I am stuck between 3 & 4 stars. I went with 3 for the following reasons The biggest problem is its inability to correctly decipher morse that it hears. I have tried using simple phrases with online translators with a wide variety of tone frequencies and using WPM from 1 to 60. I used the phrase "I am learning morse code". So far, the "listen" feature has never once translated this phrase properly. It seems to not be able to decipher a tonal dash from a dot. It hears everything as dots. For example, my translated "readout" of the phrase above usually looks something like this: "iess5ssihssiie5" (each of those letters are dots only. No dashes. So, the programs only hears dots so it displays letters with dots only: e h i s 5 Unless the developer can better explain what setting to use when in the listening mode, I would not PAY to use this app, especially if you are learning or simply wanting to put your device near a scanner or short Wave to listen/translate morse. Good features: There are several ways to type in letters using a "-" and "." or a tap button. I find the tap button difficult but I am getting better at it. The main problem is that the program thinks I'm done typing and assigns a different letter. This is solved in the setting menu by adjusting your touchpad speed...just takes time to figure yourself out. I also like being able to type something in English and then listen to the morse translation. (Using iPad/phone to iPad/phone doesn't solve the listening problem) I really like being able to see the screen flash too. My wife and I plan to use this out in the field as we learn. Developer: Might I suggest on updates that you have the ability to change the color of the flash. I think this program could be 5 stars but it still needs a lot of tweeking
