Not for casual play – TALES OF CRESTORIA Review

*warning* long and thorough review As a casual player of games I initially enjoyed the story and character leveling of this game, After about 80 hours invested in the game I’ve hit a XP cap for my characters the only way to leave them higher to to engage in raids to get the items I need, each raid takes about 8mins and I only get 1 item per 4ish raids. Each character requires around 40 items to level up. This requires entire days to get a small portion of the items you need to reach high levels. After the initial leveling Lv80 or so them game requires a substantial time investment, not to mention the money grab “gleamstones” which you use to summon rare characters. I’ve summoned close to 300 times ($80.00 for 8K stones, 10x summon costs 2.5k stones) and only received 7 SSR characters (highest level characters). I’m not oppose to paying for a in-game item but the price seems much to steep for the reward, often all you receive is lots of lower level “SR” characters that are effectively worthless in-game. The frustrating part to reaching high level is the constant connection issues, I play on 120mbps internet and constantly am disconnected during raids and have the game crash. Overall I give the game a 1/5 for story and addictive qualities, the other four stars I would award for less time investment requirements and more reasonable price for in-game purchases. This game is definitely not for casual players of mobile games Changed my rating from 1 to 3, still a large time investment but getting better. If game devs see this please note that all sounds can be muted except the loud sound from dealing critical damage. I like to listen to music while I have this game on but the critical damage sound keeps blaring through my speaker
