Another Predatory Mobile Game – Pokémon Shuffle Mobile Review

It’s another tile-matching game, with Pokemon. I bet this is a great game on the 3ds, but the mobile version is what you’d expect, heaving with micro transactions and designed expressly to give you a bad time until you buy some. I don’t mind spending on a game I’m enjoying, but they steeply ramp up the cost on you. Each time I’ve bought jewels I return to the store to find I need to pay several bucks MORE for several LESS jewels. That’s unacceptable to me. How high does that keep going? It’s not enough I want to give you money, I have to give you MORE money the longer I want to support your game, at diminishing returns even? Are you TRYING to drive paying players away from the store? Mobile games are already super predatory and purposely sell you a negative experience to get you to pay to avoid tacked-on pain. Wish, wish, wish we could just buy games in their pure, intended forms on mobile. This was fun enough for 200 levels, but gotta uninstall. There are thousands of other tile-match games out there. Edit: I was so cross with the shop I forgot to mention, playing on an iPhone SE, do not have issues on other games, this app crashes consistently twice an hour or more when you enter rounds, have never seen a professional app fatally crash so often.
