Lost iPhone and can’t recover photos – Private Photo Vault - Pic Safe Review

Hi all, so I recently dropped my phone in the ocean and had to buy a new one. I bought a new phone and began downloading all of my apps over again, “photo vault” being one of them however none of my photos appear in the vault anymore. I’ve used this app for years and even bought the pro version since I enjoyed it so much however it’s a bit of a bummer I’m not able to recover my photos as I had over 3k photos in the app. The app advertises ITunes syncing so I’m wondering if maybe anyone has a solution for me? I saw people’s reviews with similar issues and the app had told them an update would be soon to fix this... that was years ago so I’m hoping there’s a solution now? It also wants me to repurchase the app. Support has not replied.
