Got rid of stand alone option – 1Password 7 • Password Manager Review

Update: The developers response to my review informed me that a non-subscription license is still available. I’m not sure if this is something they brought back in the new version 7 or if it was there even in version 6 but just more hidden. I’m glad to see that this license type is still available. I have also since realized that even with a subscription option, you still have the option to sync locally (not forced to use their cloud). I also don’t mind that this license type is not available in the MAS because I always avoid the MAS if there’s another purchase method available to avoid making the developers give Apple a 30% cut. Previous review: I bought a license for Mac, Windows, and Pro features for iPhone specifically because I don’t want my data synced in the cloud. Now you only offer the subscription model.
