Looks ok, maybe not the most helpful. – Beer Wizard Review

TL;DR or BLUF- There's one purpose this app should serve: to list beers available at local growler stations. It doesn't do this very well. Even though it runs like I haven't updated my phone in 7 years, it looks nice at a standstill and has a couple of cool features included. I'm not a fan of log-ins but I guess I can understand having accounts for saving favorite beers and locations. The ability to filter searches six different ways is good (in case I'm only in the mood for a beer with a SRM between 16 and 17). Here's the kicker, and looking at past reviews I'm not alone... I downloaded this app to see what beers were on tap at my local growler stations. I only know of this app because of said growler stations. The fact that I have to find a specific location (which is more finicky than it needs to be) and then search for beers within the widest possible parameters just to see what's on tap kind of bothers me. I'm not an app designer, but I can't help but think there's a better way of setting this program up to be more user friendly. Another shortfall would be the tiny print and text window for reading about different beers and styles. There's a lot of blank space not being utilized. It's the same thing with business locations. It's great that it's powered by Google maps but the minuscule window doesn't help much. The app does include a few neat tools: -The app DOES list beers on tap for each location, if you know how to find it. -I thought food pairings were interesting, even though the first one I tried, Chinese food, didn't offer any recommendations at all. -The hours for some locations appear to be specific to the in-store growler station, which is very useful. -The 'beer match' is something some folks might appreciate. I don't know if listing every beer under a certain category is exactly the same as matching you to a beer but maybe you'll find something you like. P.S. The tiny text box doesn't let you read some of the beers to be matched with. It's to the company's benefit to have a smooth, useful app to help consumers spend their money on growlers. If they'd only refine a few things I'd use Beer Wizard a whole lot more.
