Constructive Criticism – Pixel Wizard Adventure - A retro arcade game Review

I rated this game 3 stars because, although it was able to keep my attention until the end, it has some glaring issues. 1: The level design doesn't really have any purpose. I distinctly remember one time where at the end of the level there was a staircase leading to the door but it had nothing on it and was way longer than it should have been. 2: The enemies can be really cheap. The "hard" enemies aren't even hard, they just annoy you. I distinctly remember the skeletons that appear right in front of you being particularly irking. The level design also sometimes suffers from this (blinking and invisible blocks particularly). 3: The game is short and easy. The short thing wouldn't be as much of a problem of it had some replay value, but playing it again doesn't add anything new. Basically it just needs more stuff in general. And the little difficulty comes from the fact that when you die, enemies don't respawn. Sure, you have the death counter, but it doesn't actually mean anything. Therefore, you can just throw yourself at the level repeatedly, with no repercussions, until you win. I hope you take this criticism and rather than be discouraged, use it to make a better game because it does have potential. Thanks for reading. P.S. I saw that little portrait you hid in there :)
