Please add one more feature

The Down Dog Yoga and Prenatal apps are awesome! Being able to select the person’s voice, the background music (or silence), the pace of the flow, the type of yoga, one area of the body to focus on, how long to stay in shivasana, etc. are all reasons why I purchase a subscription! I’m amazed that an app can add such customization to yoga practices! These two apps would get 5 stars if they add ONE more feature: a toggle to hear more yoga/life wisdom (the spiritual aspects/insights of yoga) as we move through the practice. This would be a toggle that would be available for all different verbal “instruction” options except the silence option. So you could have minimal instruction (just pose names) and then the voice would share yoga wisdom and insights, the type of spiritual practice that is often part of going to a yoga class in person. Or, on the other end of the “instructions” spectrum, you could have full instructions, and then during the space between poses, the voice would share yoga wisdom/life insights. This feature would truly make this app so close to the experience of an in person yoga class!! The only difference would be doing yoga solo vs in community with others. And I realize that this feature request is very complex. It would mean that varying lengths of yoga wisdom would be added for each pose, based on the verbal instruction choice and also the pace of the flow choice, so that would add in a lot of variety. One alternative might be to add this option for yoga wisdom either at the beginning or the end of the practice, so it’s not happening all throughout the practice (less yoga wisdom content would need to be generated) and yet it could still be a part of a practice.

Fantastic App

App has a great UX and is a pleasure to use. I haven’t practiced in a few years and have been trying to get back into a studio recently and having difficulty due to the state of things. This is a perfect companion and refresher for my neglected practice. I am grateful that Ashtanga Vinyasa is included as this is how I’ve always practiced and I love it. I do wish that I could customize the routines a bit more. For example I like to start each of my practices with a few minutes of child pose to get centered. It would also be nice to swap some poses out as I see fit. Nitpicking really. Awesome app overall.

The absolute best

Just the best yoga class you could possibly take!

The best, one flaw

It is such a cool app. I just wish they integrated it properly with airplay like Peloton.

This app is a gift from god

These people have created a very wide variety of practices that covers all the needs I’ve had so far. Also, I have to say this: inside a corporate capitalism world, you can feel that these people offer their services with true care and love and they help you use the app even when you’re short in cash. This is touching and wonderful. kindness and generosity and high quality professionalism. Thank you

I have practiced yoga off and on for 25 years and this app has enriched my practiced in ways I never imagined. My favorite features: 1. It mixes poses so every practice is different. 2. I can target areas like lower back or core 3. I can easily adjust the length of the practice. Some days 10 minutes is all the time I have. 4. It tracks progress. I love seeing those little blue squares on my calendar!

Love Doing Yoga with this App
SciencingwithSarah

I began using the app during COVID when the company gave a promotional free license to teachers and students for an extended amount of time (which was really awesome and very much appreciated by this very stressed teacher!). Even prior to a pandemic, I was not one for group yoga classes. They were overpriced and I did not want to be in a room with other people bumbling through poses. I also was not a huge fan of yoga practices on YouTube because of the inconsistency. When I tried this app, it was everything I had been searching for! It allowed me to completely customize my workouts. You can select what type of yoga you are practicing, what areas of the body you want to focus on, the voice narration, the background music, and most importantly- what level you are at! The algorithm comes up with a different workout every time, so I am never bored. You can also save your favorite practices and download them if you will be in an area without WiFi. And I can do this all in whatever place I want to, no need to travel to a studio. The price for the app is also very reasonable for a year subscription. Way cheaper than any studio or gym that you will ever find. It also gives you access to their other workout apps such as HIIT and Barre (which I also recommend).

Beginner not so beginner friendly

I LOVE this app. I never write reviews but this is great. My one complaint is that beginner cardio flow is really not that beginner friendly. It says to choose beginner 1 if you’ve never done yoga before. I’ve probably taken 100 classes over the past ten years. I’m no yogi but some of the positions in even beginner 1 are a challenge. The developer just needs to tweak this part a bit then it would be pretty much perfect.

Great app

Really like this because every workout is different and for me as a beginner I learn new poses every time.
