I agree with switcheroo there are too many applause and wooopies ,it can make the games bothersome.

I have nothing good to say because every time I try to play I get bombarded by scammers. It’s happened so often that I reported each one. Then I followed up with Zynga, but they don’t seem to care. They don’t remove the scammers even when I send them evidence. They keep allowing people who just want to play to get preyed on. Their customer service is awful. So if you get chatted by a brand new player, that writes with an accent, claiming to be in the military or an independent contractor, report them (even though Zynga won’t do anything). Zynga helps scammers!

Fun game to play but the ads are outrageous

Talk about irrelevant ads! And no way to shut them off other than to let the device sit and do something else until they are done. The cost for ad-free is outrageous. Price gouging at its finest.

Ads after Every. Single. Move. Deleted after 1 game because it was so annoying. Only option to play without ads is to pay $10/month - ludicrous.

I have no interest in all the banners, boxes, etc. please let the game be what it is. It is words with friends. You’re interrupting and being quite rude in doing so! Otherwise I’d give you 5 stars. Now you do not get the 5. I have no interest in the extra little games where you win boxes. Please have an opt out or a choice of no.??? Here’s another angry review. I hate all the stupidity that you are throwing at people who just want to play the game. I don’t want boxes, ribbons,challenges, or any of the malarkey that you keep adding. These is no opt out or x to get away from it. What is wrong with you people? Do you not read your reviews?

Should be called Anagrams as the list of acceptable “words” has grown to ludicrous levels. Loq, seq, and the like (how about obscure 17th century French dialect?) All acceptable plays. Seq is an abbreviation of a Latin term. What’s next? Words found in Beowulf? Canterbury Tales?

I really really really don’t like the addition of *rewards* and mystery boxes which I care nothing about. I like to play the unadulterated version. I refuse to use the *see best moves* and *swap tiles without losing a turn*. But how do I know others I play with don’t use them? Way to spoil the game people, can’t we go back? PLEASE?

Used to be a fun game. Now it just has too much trash happening. Seriously ruins the game. If you’re going to have all this crap clogging up the works, allow players to opt out of it.
