All the extraneous crap needs to go!

I paid for the ad free game so that I can play the game without having to be interrupted. Instead I find myself interrupted MORE frequently with “congratulations” or “you’ve play 4 letters in the [frickin] word of the day” or “oooh you I licked more coins”. If I wanted coins I’d play super Mario brothers. Please, there HAS to be a way for (presumably valued) paid customers to opt in or out of all these in app notification. Some people might like them I suppose but the just have me looking at that formerly fun W and deciding it’s not worth the crap to launch the app. This is NOT a new issue. You’ve gotten dozens of similar reviews. Fix it. Cmon.

If only they would remove the ads

The game play is fun and exciting. I really enjoy so many aspects of the game play with all the new features. Duela and solo are all excellent additions for true word lovers like myself. But for the love of God, remove the ads, pop ups, constantly flashy things! It slows up game play and completely alters the gaming experience. For the record ‘pop ups’ are annoying all the time. They are annoying between each game, between each move, when your loading the game, and when you playing one of the new features. I don’t know what marketing experts came to Zynga and said ok, you have all these players, what they want in addition to the game play is to be constantly bombarded with ads for other aps (that are almost always some type of rip off), and things they do not want or need. ‘ someone said ‘brilliant’ and they decide to implement it. There are ads and pop ups in the game and now you have an ad banner on top of the game with prevents reaching searching features without clicking on them. You must make a ton of money from this advertising. But Zynga has forgotten that without customers you can’t make money from advertising. This game went from something that everybody I know played to ‘?are you still playing that!? ?!’ Finally, removal of the option to play without the ads was the lowest blow. I love the game but please stop with advertising. Despite what you believe we do not want to see advertisements every second we actually log into the game to play it!

The manufacturer of this game Zynga has had a data breach of all YOUR personal information. Check their website. I’ve spent weeks dealing with hacked accounts. Delete this game ASAP and change your passwords everywhere you use your email

Beware of Scammers in Chat Function

Please do not use the chat function of this game. There are scammers preying on older women (widows) and getting them to chat via the Hang Out app after they claim they cannot chat through this game anymore. It is sick to think that a great game and app is being used this way. This happened to my parter’s mother and it has been a nightmare. Please steer clear of any chat functions and do not give ANY personal information.

The wrong Facebook account keeps opening on the account. My original account was frozen. Wouldn’t complete the play. Very upset with this game.

Major glitches

Game worked fine until this week. Now it won’t let me watch ads for coins. It doesn’t keep accurate count downs for solo games or daily bonus coins. Need bugs fixed badly. Sent customer support an email. No response or solution

I hate all the clutter, stupid rewards, invitations to play strangers, and phony games. I just want to play the game with my own friends, and I would gladly pay for the privilege.

The game is great, the extras are trash

Seriously, I just want to play words with friends. That’s it. I do not want all of your extra “bonuses” or “side games” with computers or to “win prizes”. I would pay money just to get all of that removed from my life. Please just make this app back to the way it used to be!

App crashes my iPhone and drains battery

I love playing this game but am not happy that it keeps crashing my iPhone and consuming a unrealistic amount of battery. Please fix this so I can play with my Mom
