Even after the new update your app gets hung up After I am done playing a word it tries to go to an ad and the screen goes black and never comes back. I have let it wait 30 minutes and nothing. I have to leave the app and come back. Usually hours before it clears and I can play again. Sad way to run a business. Their solution is to pay money to get rid of ads. We did that and after an update the ads came back and they wanted us to pay again to get rid of the ads. PATHETIC
Doesn’t update moves

My gf convinced me to download this app. Been a few years since I played the first version. Stopped because I notice people were cheating on there. Besides that, I’ve never experienced such a lag between my moves and my opponent’s move. The app doesn’t update even though we both have it open using the same WiFi. Sometimes, I have to completely end the app and reopen it. Ain’t nobody got time for that......

I think participants are going to stop playing Words With Friends because of the advertisements are now too long. It’s discouraging to wait 30 seconds and then a second advertisement begins. It makes the game not worth playing.

I love Words with Friends- been playing for years. It was definitely my favorite game. and I paid for the upgrade to no ads (loved it even more!) I am not a fan of all the upgrades in how it looks, but I understand the developers feel they need to keep upgrading to make it flashy. But I am playing less often because of all the trollers. I HATE HATE HATE getting creepy messages from men every 2-3 times I play an unknown person. There are plenty of dating apps- please get off WWF!! This constant unsolicited contact has limited my games to only a few people I know and 2 strangers who I trust to act respectfully. Please DO NOT pay for the upgrade until the developers take this harassment problem seriously. It has gotten completely out of hand!

I love word games and have been playing this game for years. The game is 5 stars. The glitches and speed are so frustrating! I thought it might have been my old phone but alas I have a new phone and all of the problems are still there. Quitting in the middle of a game. Not responding to my plays and hitting next game and the ads not getting out of the way once they have played. Why??!! Writing a bad review is as satisfying as playing the game at this point.

Honestly, it’s okay. It’s not great, not worth 5 stars due to the ads and janky interface. If you don’t choose your options and settings quickly, you’ll get bombarded with unwanted advertisements and games and ploys to try to talk you into spending real money. But it’s the best option in this genre of game, and I’ve been playing it on and off for a few years. It is what it is... if you enjoy Scrabble, this is really the only acceptable option on mobile.
