I just attended a conference using the Whova application as my guide. What little I knew it was great. The agenda and scheduling was the most useful. Networking was easy and also fun. I will definitely use it again. I should be a pro next time.

I recently “attended” a conference for work using the Whova app. I was hesitant to download another app but I’m glad I did. It kept me engaged in the conference and allowed me to connect with people. I might have missed out on that aspect had I just logged in for then conference zoom meetings. Half the fun of a conference is forming relationships and having side discussions with the people you meet! I loved that the Whova app facilitated that relationship building piece in a fun way. Highly recommend for anyone putting together a virtual conference!

This meeting app is the best I have ever experienced hands down. It allows users to interact, engage in discussions, view agendas, post communications notes etc…I used this app to attend a 2 day leadership conference and I loved using every part of this app and I hope to use it again soon! I love this concept, but there are a couple of missing features that make this app unusable for an online conference, especially on an ipad. When I am watching the video/streaming portion of the conference, the video consumes the entire window, hiding the chat, files and other details of the conference. This completely eliminates interaction and makes the app no better than a static video player. Also, the app doesn’t support split screen or slide over so i cant even bring up my own note taking app while watching the conference. Such a dissappointment

Recommend Sessions with speakers have at least outline slide and list or resources that attendees could download. AND check the system before each session starts and ready fir loading material. Perhaps the organizers could practice with new folks. In hybrid format need assignments or self discovery material for long breaks.
