Productivity Free Simple Matters LLC iPhone, iPad, iPod

We created Ditto as a kind of anti-gadget –
something to free people from worrying about
their smartphones and to be more present in life.
Ditto is tiny and elegant. No buttons, switches, lights
displays, or cables. Less is more.

What Ditto does:

Notifications for Incoming Calls
You’ll feel it vibrate when someone you’ve chosen as important is trying to reach you.

Notifications for Incoming Texts
You’ll feel it vibrate when someone you’ve chosen as important is trying to text you.

Notifications for Incoming Emails
You’ll feel it vibrate when someone you’ve chosen as important has sent you an email.

Notifications for When You Leave Your Phone Behind
Ditto has a built-in wireless tether. When you’re about to leave your phone behind, Ditto will vibrate to warn you!

Silent Alarm
Ditto makes a great silent wake-up alarm. Wear it on your wrist and don’t disturb your partner. Or use it as an alarm for important events, reminders or as a timer.

No Cables, No Buttons, No Recharging
Since Ditto never needs charging, just leave it with your jewelry or wallet. That way, you’ll remember to put it on in the morning. Ditto will remind you when it needs a new battery.

Waste of money

After every time it vibrates, my ditto disconnects ?‍♀️ Unreliable and a complete waste of money

Never miss a text again!

Well, almost never. Sometimes the Ditto disconnects from my iPhone, but only occasionally. Not sure if it’s the app’s fault, Apple’s fault, or the Ditto’s fault. A bit of a hardware review: the sound of the vibration initially was plasticky and cheap, but I think it changed after a couple weeks of use (I’ve been using it for more than a month now). It sounds much more subtle now. Lastly, if you’re not sure where you would clip the ditto, try your shirt tag!

Product review

This little piece of plastic is the biggest waist of money. Ever since I have had it it has not worked longer than 2 days in a row. Then I have to go through the trouble of deleting the app, reinstalling and setting the the Ditto up again. When it did work I liked the convenience and features. It’s a shame it’s not reliable. It has finally died and I will have fun devising a proper ending for this little piece of.... technology. Lol I would not recommend this product to anyone. Save your money. I had to give it 1 star because it was useful for short periods.

Can’t Make Contact With Ditto by Simple Matters
QuincyMike

I’ve had three different Dittos and have been happy with the way each worked. The first one stopped working after a year or so and they sent me a new one. The second one stopped working after a couple years and I purchased another one. It lasted a long time and still works except the metal spring to open and close it to clothing broke and I can’t make contact with anyone. I’m beginning to think they went out of business. I’ve tried to purchase them several places and they are out of them. The last post on their site is two years old. Too bad because the principal of it was great. It saved me more than once from losing my cellphone and being hard of hearing, it helped me catch calls I might has missed.

Great initial release

Would love to see additional integrations for notifications such as Telegram, BBM, etc.

Meh

After receiving my unit, it's clear that between apple's limitations on third party wearables and simple matter's programming, this product was not worth the 6 month wait on kickstarter. The device/ app has a very slow initiation upon receiving phone calls. On top of that, the vibration patterns don't repeat, meaning I may not notice it when I get a phone call. It definitely doesn't vibrate long enough to wake me up as an alarm. The app also falls short on what it can notify you on. You can get notified for texts but not for messages from any messaging app. You can get notified for emails in apple mail app but not for emails from any other email app. This product isn't worth the $40 it costs now. And the app definitely isn't worth the extra power keeping Bluetooth on to use he wearable.

Sigh....

Disappointing. Device disconnects all the time. Like mentioned before you get one alert and no repeats alerts when you do not check the message. I have to open the battery compartment repeatedly and forget the device on my phone to get it to reconnect. Also with phone in pocket and on silent I still get alerts to the phone before the device kind of making it pointless. Phone should not send alerts when connected to the device to justify having a ditto. Only thing that really seems to be worthwhile is the leash when it's working. Would like to see some serious improvements. So far not worth the significant kickstarter wait or cost.

App keeps crashing at update firmware step
jb008m

So far I haven't been able to use my ditto because the app crashes when it goes to update the ditto firmware.

Enjoying it!

a cool concept! It wasnt hard to set up. I have mine set to vibrate twice for texts and three times for phone calls. I don't really agree with what other people said about longer vibrations. I clip the ditto itself onto my bra strap because it's hidden and secure there. If it kept vibrating until I picked up my phone from my purse or whatever, that would just be annoying. I like that it's more minimal in its purpose.

I've been looking for this for sometime. I never feel my phone vibrate. The vibration is plenty strong, so it solves that problem. Suggestions: configurable repeat, one notification is not enough. I'd like to clip this to my existing watchband, securely. Maybe offer a clip with a closed loop . . .
