I’ve used waze for years but the last couple of months the navigation directions have been absolutely idiotic. Even previous routes that I know I’ve used waze for before- it has given me ridiculous directions for now. For example, instead of telling me to take the freeway exit north directly to my apartment (like it has done in the past) today it told me to take the south ramp, make a u-turn through a neighborhood, then cross four lanes of high speed traffic without a light. This was for no reason as well - no traffic, no construction, no road closures. Disappointed and annoyed.

GPS inconsistent after IOS 15.2

GPS doesn’t always work after update to IOS 15.2. Contacted support and they said they are working on a fix. Hopefully fixed soon.

I’m not sure how many versions back, but this app has taken a few steps back . It no longer is as seamless using my phone’s GPS like its sister app Google Maps or competitor Apple Maps. Even with the exact same permissions it seems to always locate my phone somewhere that I am not. Giving me wrong directions and wrong ETA’s. Hard to give it more than one star when the core backbone for this app is location based.

I don’t know how this app has a single good review. Every. Single. Time I use this worthless app, it CONSTANTLY will tell me to go a certain direction on a street and right where I get to a point where I can’t change lanes clear to the other side, it suddenly changes to say I need to go the opposite direction without any notification. I just drove around for twenty minutes trying to get a mile and a half away because every single route I tried did the same thing- changed direction as soon as I couldn’t get out of my lane. I don’t know why I still even have this on my phone because it has made me late so many times and is constantly changing direction. It’s a MAP app. It’s only job is to give directions and yet it’s completely useless for that. I’d be better off guessing what the directions are. This pathetic excuse for an app will be removed from my phone permanently now.

When it works it is great…

Seems like it worked relatively well until the last few updates. It no long works out of the gate- have to restart it a few times. The trip planner gives bad choices or just cannot find the route. I have a iPhone 12pro.

WAZE: You’ll never be lost

I love this app. I discovered it for the first time while touring the southern coast of Ireland. Detailed directions and plenty of notice for turns and route changes enhanced the quality if this 3 1/2 week adventure.

Carplay is a disaster. Was good but now i have to force close the app almost all the time. When I first connect it does nothing. Just a frozen screen. Iphone 13 pro max Still does it on ios 15.2.1

I noticed in CarPlay it consistently sends/spams the same notifications that u must click while outside of Waze app. Some other bugs here and there. But definitely my go to map provider.

Car play performance is dire

Waze nearly always fails to launch properly in car play usually requiring multiple plug cycles to get it tower correctly or even worse fumbling with the phone to open the app and close it and re launch it so it works. Sometimes it’ll work fine but the vast majority of the time there’s so issue that causes it to either not load the map, load the map with the last position it was working in or load the map with the current position but then never update it. I’m beyond frustrated with it, the moment that Apple Maps provides the same crowd sourced feed back is the moment I stop using Waze.
