Haven’t used Waze because of CarPlay issues. Seems to be fixed. Nice to have my Waze back!

Problemas con el zoom map

La app sigue dando problemas con el zoom del map. Al ampliarlo al rato vuelve a disminuir, lo que dificulta ver los detalles de las rutas en el mapa

Jan 14,2022 Since the update last we I can’t shrink or enlarge the route maps. You can move along the route but that’s it.

I've been using Waze for years and the bugs continue to rise and are being ignored by app developers. They recognize there are bugs but won't fix them. There are especially a lot of bugs in apple car play. I can't open Waze from scratch in apple car play without a bug forcing me to restart it right when I begin. Another glaring issue is the poor user interface for changing the hours of a place. It's horrible and not intuitive at all. Makes it difficult to contribute to the map.

When I choose a route that doesn’t have a toll, that means I DON’T want to take a toll today. Don’t silently change me back to a toll route because I didn’t follow your exact instructions getting out of a parking lot. I shouldn’t have to press a bunch of buttons to turn tolls on/off or fiddle with routes while I’m driving either. This app wasted too much of my money so I’m done with it. But while I’m complaining, this app also repeats itself endlessly if a highway exit has a long name, can’t remember major road closures and doesn’t let you reroute until you approach the closure, tells you to get off the highway just to immediately get you back on again, and doesn’t respect the keep quiet while on the phone setting.

Needs more options and better directions

The app doesn’t name streets, which makes knowing when to turn a bit difficult. I didn’t really care about that when there were cool voices/icons to use. But then the Dexter-themed settings vanished and I couldn’t find a suitable substitute. I may give this app another chance whenever they get some more unique options available, which was the reason I got it in the first place.

Won’t connect to CarPlay

It’s basically become unusable on CarPlay which is the only time I use it.

Use this app if you want to waste time and be thrown off course, DOES NOT get you places faster. I’ve never been more angered by an app than now, they need to fix this heaping pile of flaming garbage. It’s a terrible app, just use the maps built into your phone.

There’s nothing better on the App Store for navigation. Community ran, so many customizations, competitive. There is a reason why there are so many 5 star reviews. Can’t go nowhere without my Waze!

Custom voices

I have used Waze for many years and generally love it. I’m assuming there was an update sometime in the past week. I have been using custom voices for over two years now with no issues, but with the most recent update the custom voices work for most everything except for distance. When distance is announced it is by a random computer voice and the direction is announced as the custom recording. Hoping this issue is fixed soon.
