Don’t bother

Doesn’t work. Tried 2 watches and various iterations with no success. App never shows up.

To slow to be useful in the wild

LuxCeleritas

I had great hopes for this app when I heard about it. I have a large number of home automation devices and I use Alexa frequently to turn on light, change thermostat, control my entertainment system. But I found the app even on my own WiFi so incredibly slow that in the time it takes to get it to even start. I can grab my phone from my pocket, pop up the app, and click on what I want to do before my watch complication is even ready. The startup process for the app needs to be a lot faster to make it worthwhile. It literally takes close to minute to start the watch app. All the while you have to keep the app active or the whole process of starting it has to start again!

Works terrible on watch

Andy IpX

Needs way better watch support. I bought this to use on my Apple Watch3 none data ver and and all it ever says when trying to open on watch compilation is “starting” takes for ever to open. Not worth $2

Slow Slow Slow on the watch

Dean-O!

Purchased this because of its standalone capabilities on the Apple Watch. It is terrible on the watch it needs to authenticate every time and usually times out. You must often repeat the command 5 or 6 times before a successful connection and response. I would love to love this app but as of now it’s super alpha wear. To bad as the phone version is not nearly as bad ?

After a stumble it’s working better now. Reboot your iPhone

Joe in Los Angeles

I have an iPhone X and Watch 3 with Cel. It is no where on the Watch app. $2 down the drain. Sad. I can’t install what isn’t there. Works on iPhone but Amazon App already does more. Update: I needed to hard boot the iPhone for ViaC to appear on the Watch. Now it’s working. Most things I use work. The Kevo skill almost works, I get the security response but it doesn’t execute when I give it the code. Lights turn on and off, many Routines work. Room to grow, I’m more pleased now.

Coolest Apple Watch app ever!

FalconFan1966

This app is amazing! It takes a second to boot up, but other than that, it works exactly as expected, to have full Alexa on your watch! So freaking cool! I changed the complication on the Siri watch face to Voice in a Can and it's freaking amazeballs.

Love this

Flyingcar

Perfect for turning on the lights so I don’t have to enter in the dark.

Waiting for improvements

joyson_gurung

I read couple of reviews. Having read all poor remarks, I purchased this app today just to try. I own series 3 GPS and works this app hardly on it. Waiting to find a lot of improvements on updates.

I Love the Voiceover improvements

Mom24monsters

While, yes, the app can be slow on the watch, like any other app that requires a cell signal or Wi-Fi, it also depends on your cellular connection, on the watch if you have the third generation, or the phone, whether you do or you don’t, because if your phone is nearby and the cell signal is too weak for your watch, it will get that from your phone rather than trying to kill the battery by getting a cell signal that it can’t otherwise, and can actually be very fast when you’re on Wi-Fi or have a stronger cell signal. The voiceover problems that caused me to give it a very low rating before no longer exist. Now, it’s a pretty reliable app. I don’t take my ratings and reviews lightly, and so far, the things that I had complained about no longer exist. It no longer picks up things that it shouldn’t when using the watch, and visually impaired people can now set the app up on the phone by themselves. Well done! With the scathing review that I gave before, it’s obvious that this is an app developer that cares. The reason that I got this app was so that I would be able to arm and disarm my home security system when I’m away from home because ADT, regardless of how many times I have tried contacting them about the fact that their app needs help and the accessibility department, has continued to make it the same way and not improve it, and this app makes it much easier. If you have a visual impairment and an echo device, this app can make life easier, even when you aren’t at home!

Prefer option of constant listen for max 8 second

alexa fans

I like the app. But I prefer app to continue to listen for max 8 second. Prefer tapping button to start listening instead of stop listening. I get used to Alexa dot voice control. To me, it is better to follow similar behavior of Alexa dot or echo. Tap to invoke Alexa to listen. Then I can voice several commands within Alexa max 8 second listening. Tapping button repeatly to execute one voice command at a time is little inconvenient
