Being able to read exif tags can be of great importance not only for beginners, but also for other photographers who want to find out what settings and tools were used to create a particular photograph. However, you couldn't read those important data before. Fortunately, this issue is perfectly solved with app extension since iOS 8. So we create this app for photographers.

For those people who want to protect privacy, this app is useful for you as well. When you send photos via email or share on social network, your personal information (geo location, taken date etc) is shared as well. If you upset to share those information, ViewExif is able to remove it before sharing.

Features:
* Extension for Photos app and 3rd-party apps such as Dropbox, Google Drive and FileExplorer etc.
* Display file name, file size, dimensions for photos and videos.
* Display EXIT tags: Taken date, ISO Speed, F Number, Exposure Time, Focal Length and more.
* Display IPTC tags: Creator, Keywords, Description etc.
* Display geo location on map
* Support image formats (JPG, PNG, TIFF) and Raw formats (CR2, NEF).
* Share photo with exif on Twitter, Facebook, email.
* Share photo without exif on Twitter, Facebook, email.

No sidecar api support for GPS tagged photos by GeoTagr
Sengoku_us

I use GeoTagr to add GPS data to my photos. It stores the GPS info in a sidecar or seperate file next to the photo. Some apps, as an extension in photos, using the newer API’s from apple - can view the photo and the gps info (for example Metapho), but this app doesn’t. Which is a shame, as I liked the position of the map at the top (as shown in the screenshot promoting this app).

Does not work on my iPhone XS Max
Midnight Wade

Does not work on my iPhone XS Max and I cannot contact the seller as they think I do not have an email address set-up in Settings.

Fantastic app
alltodoaboutnothing

Love this app-shows pictures in each file instead of all together! For a quick view of a pic you just tap on that album and there it is,,no more having to look through all your pics to find that special one.?????????????????

Cannot edit EXIF data
Justroach

Misleading description. You can delete EXIF, but not edit it.

Does not work on iPhone X
seatsnob

When you open the photo to zoom in it just crashed over and over

Disappointed - lacking
Arsnelp

I wanted something easy and cheap for location. This app appeared to be the solution. It was not as the free version of photo investigator proves the location with no problems or issues. This only provides four basic indicators. A waste of 99 cents. Live and learn.

Almost Perfect
Jrumdoog

Just add FPS in video and it will be perfect photo and video meta app but other than that it is perfect for photos!

The app changes the video date stamp to view date.
risingjsun

The app changes the video date stamp to view date. Do not change it.

One of my most used apps!
vsaltd.jewel

This app is necessary if you write online content and need to have control over the files sizes of images. If files sizes are too big, and you have several images on your webpage, then the page will load too slowly for most people's tastes. That's why it pays to optimize your web images before uploading them. But finding out the true file size of an image on an ios device was next to impossible for years. While there were apps that purported to do this...none actually supplied accurate information and trying to manage file size of images was a nightmare until I discovered ViewEXIF! ViewExif is singlehandedly responsible for vastly improving my productivity! If file sizes are too big now I use Tiny.png to reduce them...a free and easy online tool. But, one other cool thing about ViewExif is that it can reduce file sizes for you too simply by removing metadata! Usually, that reduces a file around 200 Kbps imo.

It’s useless app
Ninte ammede pooru

It doesn’t give you ISO, Aperture & Sutter speed. It shows only the size of images like height, width etc. it’s absolutely useless.
