I use my Venmo to pay everything n everyone except my monthly bills!! If my vendors were members of Venmo my financial life would be remarkably easier!! Thank-you Venmo, Denise Kestell

After using Venmo for a few weeks, I found out that one of my client’s account wasn't any good. Instead of Venmo alerting me to this, they sent me an email stating that I could no longer use Venmo because violations caused on my end. I was only receiving money from the client. But now, I’m unable to use this app because of someone else’s bad banking habits. Venmo penalizes the wrong parties without concern. Very POOR customer appreciation or notification! Other cash apps are much better and more convenient and friendlier to use.

The fact that this company can somehow tie up a $2700 payment by arbitrarily freezing my account, then proceed to tell me that I have to send bank and credit card statements along with ID through an email to “verify” my account, is a little scary to be honest. When I was able to get someone on the phone, they informed me that they did not have the ability to unfreeze my account but that I had to work through an email correspondence to get my frozen capital. In this day of fraud and identity theft, this unprofessional company is playing with fire. I suggest avoiding at all costs.

I tried to sign up for Venmo and they claimed my phone number was already attached to another account. I’ve never downloaded Venmo before so it can’t be me. When I called customer support I sat on hold for over half an hour before giving up. Then I tried contacting them online via the support form, except they required an email and phone number attached to a Venmo account, which I don’t have and can’t create. It’s an infuriating circle and now I’m going to be downloading a different app instead of trying to deal with this. Thanks for nothing.
