How does one pronounce "les yeux"? You won't find it in utter French. But for the phrases you can find, the pronunciation is helpful.

Nice idea but very disappointing

i was thrilled by the concept and possibilités , however the app worked for one day and since then-nothing. and my phone's software is fully up to date.

Delightful and Super Helpful

I love this app. As someone who struggles with French pronunciation, it's really nice to have a reality check. I find myself over and over Delatin what I think the pronunciation ought to be. When I look something up on the app I am usually reassured, occasionally corrected. I wrote to the developer with a question and got an answer back in three hours! I heartily recommend this app to anyone wanting to improve French pronunciation.

A rough review of this app
Truth we trust

Hello javamex,I just saw your post in touch arcade and I’m glad to be the one providing some basic reviews of this app. First of all,I have to say this app is relatively unique and creative,it has some features that a lot of traditional English-French dictionaries can’t compare with, for example, thanks to the latest update, you can now tap the left-top little yellow icon for detailed phonetic information, for convenient sense, you can tap this little icon whenever you forget how to pronounce a specific word in the whole learning process.Secondly and most impressively, you are able to see how those french words pronounced instead of just hearing these words,it’s very important for a language learner to make themselves speak like a native speaker,it takes time though. Ok now let’s see how this app can be even better Undoubtedly, design of UI potentially affects users’ mood when they’re using it and I have to say the UI is simple, but it don’t have any sense of aesthetics ,in another words,it’s in a way too simple, nearly the whole screen is featured with white color, people need patience when learning something ,maybe make the color combination looks more gorgeous and calm can help?Secondly,as I mentioned above, being able to see how words pronounced is really awesome and helpful, but I assume not every user like to see the same mouth move around in front of them,so why not adding several mouths for choosing? It’s not an easy job I know ,but it’ll sure make the overall use experience better.Thirdly,we hear and watch and read the words, but why we can’t record our own voices for comparison after learning a word,we can only know if we truly listened like a native speaker when we compare them ! Fourthly, the english transcription are just labeled below each French word, that is good like every other leaning apps do,but I assume it’ll be great if ‘vocabulary card ‘is also featured in this app, cause many language learners agree that by hiding the transcription can really helpful in memorizing vocabulary,so why not let us choose whether hide or show the english transcription? Last of all, this is a good and unique app in language learning ,it got a lot of space to improve but that’s not a problem at all ,cause every great app need time to refine and I’m sure it’ll be a hit in the store one day, good job javamex !
