I like the app but I can’t get my swipe preferences to save

Great concept, no updates.

Update: 1 star to 3. I stopped using Unibox but left it on my phone just in case there were any updates. After a great while and update happened and then another. Would be super happy if the Dev. Would continue to improve because I love the concept so much. Hoping for more development, overall the app still needs some work but I still like it. Still like the concept and wish development on the app would continue, but minus the once a year update when iOS changes, there is nothing going on with this app from the developer. I wish another developer would take the concept and expand to make it a true email powerhouse. Still love the Unibox concept but the app just does not work well. Slow to update, emails not syncing, infrequent developer updates to the app and notifications that simply don’t work. I don’t use anymore but keep it around just hoping someday the updates will fix most of the issues and get push notifications working. If you are coming from the Mac app that also has many issues, I would save yourself $5 and walk away. Version 1.1 update: Had deleted the previous version as the updating just did not work for me. I still use OSX version and love the concept. I want to like the iOS version. The search function is much improved and also spotlight search is a great addition. For this to be my everyday email client, and I really want it to be, I need them to add an option for push notifications. I simply have to many emails that need to have attention quickly. I will keep using it, but still some bugs to work out. Overall good improvement from V1. Hoping for more updates with a quicker timeline than 1 per 8-9 months.

Great Concepts - Needs Tweaks for Pro Status

I absolutely love how many ways Unibox helps me become more productive. He organization by contact is brilliant—with a quick glance I can make an informed decision whether to stop what I’m doing to read the email or wait until later. This works well with the option to display emails from only one of your email accounts. When an email comes in while I’m working, and I’ve set Unibox to show only my business emails, I’m not tempted to read and attend to emails from my personal accounts. I understand that Unibox is meant to be a stripped-down, simple, no-frills email client. And that is one of the things I love about it. Having said that, there are some features that I’ve been making do without, but would add value to the app without overcomplicating it or trying to turn Unibox into something it isn’t intended to be: 1) “undo” and “redo” options for actions taken accidentally, like deleting an mail or moving it to the wrong folder. Ideally, the feature would allow the user to undo and redo more than one action in a sequence. That way, when a user accidentally deletes or moves an email to an unintended folder, the action can be undone with one click, instead of navigating to the folder and moving it back. And if the user changes his or her mind, that action can be undone and the email will return to where it was prior to the “undo”. 2) A limited number of quick buttons for actions that are used frequently but take multiple steps to accomplish: A) simple formatting options - bold, underline, and italics B) a setting that would allow users to paste a hyperlink as a hyperlink by default, or including in either the edit menu or the right-click paste menu the option to “paste as hyperlink, or a quick button that would toggle the hyperlink on and off. The existing prices of navigating to the Format menu, finding the hyperlink option and pasting it into the box provided after one has already pasted the hyperlink can sometimes feel redundant me inefficient. As to these next proposed features, It is possible that they they are available but I’m unaware of their existence. If that is the case, I offer my sincerest apologies and I will remove the content. Final proposed features: 1) the ability to create directly from Unibox folders within any connected account that can sync with Unibox instead of having to se them up separately in each account’s app. Alternatively, the ability to create labeled nested folders that exist just within the Unibox client that a user can drag and drop emails into. 2) Related to this is the ability to set rules and filters directly from Unibox so that incoming emails could be distributed to designated folders automatically. (Of course this might work only if the rules/folders feature is feasible.). 3) Resolving the issue that requires deletion and setup of gmail accounts whenever the password to the connected gmail account is reset. If the problem is triggered by something on Google’s end, would it be possible to find a way for users to preserve or backup their account prior to changing their password and import it into the new account so they don’t have to spend their time deleting emails and spending time trying to the newly created account to look like the one they had before they changed their password? 4) A more comprehensive, searchable knowledge base that includes enough information for users to troubleshoot complex issues, and learn how to use the most obscure/least used features, and instructions or links to articles on creating or using workarounds for the absence of features that may be in high demand, or steps users can take to mitigate the resulting pain points that can’t be resolved at his time but may be in the future. . 5) A separate menu option to save an email as a PDF (that’s readable on the page) and download it to a location selected by the user, which would cut down on the extra steps involved when doing it through the print dialogue. 6) An empty trash button and/or a feature that would allow a user to select a bunch of emails in the trash folder and delete them all at once. Ideally, the user would be able to select multiple consecutive emails, and they also could highlight one or more consecutive emails, skip over one or more emails without unselecting any of the emails already selected, and select one or more emails that are out of sequence and/ornon-consecutive. 7) A button that would to whitelist a sender with one click upon receipt of an email from the sender the user wants to whitelist. (Sometimes, I find that many emails from senders that I’ve added to my contacts list get sent to my spam box). Now don’t let my wishlist of features make you think that Unibox is anything less than wonderful. I’m always checking out new software, and I have yet to find an email client that I prefer more—including those that have some or all of the features on my wishlist. As a person with ADHD, spending time reading one nonsense emails can turn into a a whole day of reading and chasing down nonsense emails, and ultimately losing an entire workday and a day’s pay to needless distraction. (where I get paid by the billable hour, which are only those hours spent doing billable work). With Unibox, I read just my work related emails, which has allowed me to spend more time on work. I love what they’ve done with the app so far and I’m looking forward to using it as it continues to grow and improve

Been using Unibox for 8 years

I LOVE this app! I love how it groups emails together by sender. But I’m taking two stars off because of NO DARK MODE??? Come on guys I love you but it’s 2020 and dark mode is basically a requirement now a day.

The best email client anywhere, ever, world without end
Mr. Reiling

I’m mystified that Unibox’s approach to email is not the standard for pretty much everyone. Great on all platforms and totally reliable.

Missing dark mode

5 star once it’s implemented

Finally found an email app that respects security and privacy and helps me keep my inboxes clean. Overall a very well rounded app.

Great way to organize messages

Puts all the information I need right where I need it. simple interface. I like that I can assign multiple addresses to my contacts under one entry, such as "newsletters" and then it all pops up under one group in the inbox so I can quickly prioritize my emails without having them disappear into folders.

❤️ Unibox!

2021 update: Unibox is awesome! It contains entire threads of conversations with images. Attachments? Easy to find. So simple to delete multiple e-mails from a particular sender at one time (great for accumulating junk). I need to use this one more often, as I'm always discovering new and useful features. All for a one-time fee? Just get it!

Captures mail from more than one address
I can't reach you for help

I loved this feature, getting both addresses blended and delivered in date order. BUT one day I noticed UNIBOX had discontinued one of my accounts. I’ve tried and TRIED to re-add the second address with no success. I tried to go directly to that email account to see the activity there but I can’t access it because UNIBOX has control of it. This is my fervent cry: Unibox, please contact me or re-activate my second address! I’m begging you. I need to setup TeleHealth & I’m sure it was sent to my second address. All UNIBOX subscribers should have access to a website that communicates answers to question AND an email address when the website doesn’t cover the issue.
