There is no single predefined way to play - everything is entirely up to you. You chose what you want to be and how you want to play. You can be a peaceful merchant, shuttling goods between stars. You can be an outlaw, attacking innocent ships and capturing their cargo. You can be a smuggler, trading in illegal goods banned by the the Intergalactic Federation. You can even run missions, both legal and illegal.
There is so much to the game. Not only can you upgrade your ships weapons, but you can also upgrade equipment, such as adding more powerful engines or faster regenerating shields. You can even trade your ship in and fly something else entirely, whether a captured pirate ship or a large, bulky cargo carrier.
* Be good or evil: peaceful trader, indepenent bounty hunter, or a pirate outlaw - the choice is completely yours.
* Over 1,000 stars in an entirely open-ended universe to explore.
* 8 different ships to pilot.
* Unique goods trading system, with realistic demand and supply price calculations.
* Ability to hire teammates for help, with teammate formations provided.
* Fully upgradeable weapons systems.
* Upgradable ship equipment systems - engines, shields, and much more.
* Three difficulty levels.
* Local and global high scores.
* Saveable at any point in time.
* Intense, driving music and awesome sound effects.

It's ok it's like dark orbit and it drains your battery but it's a light version and it's not 3-d
I am a game developer and this is very close to the next game I had planed on making. Now I don't have to because this is everything I could have wanted in a space trading/exploration game. Great job guys!
Combat is like a dog chasing its tail which looks silly. Text is hard to read. Can't find my mission objective (Cargo dropoff) to save my life.
The text is extremely small and difficult to read. With chunks of paragraphs to get through and tons omissions to read, I find this to be a serious detractor from the overall quality of the game. The trade aspects are a nice addition to the game, however what you have to do in order to make it into that realm of play does not match to the overall theme of the action sections of the game. The combat, which I was expecting to be the best part of the game was bitterly disappointing. As soon as possible are in space you find your self with enemy fighters as close to your ship as your paint job. You are forced to fly an extremely small circles, and avoiding some of the incoming fire is absolutely impossible. I was never quite sure when my shields were going to give out, never really having much time to look at my interface. You are immediately tossed in to the combat which requires you to fly in small circles repeatedly. Sadly, most space games are like this. Fly in a circle, lead the target. Fly in a circle, lead the target. Lather rinse repeat ad nauseam. The ship customization, however is a good part of the game. Unfortunately, it appears to be the best part of the game. While fixing up a ship with a plethora of options is a rather fun task, to be sure, it should be the start of the adventure, not the biggest part of it. The map of the galaxy in which to play entices one to believe that there are grand adventures to be had. Sadly, unless flying in very small circles and never truly being able to enjoy the scenery are your idea of a good time, this may not be the title for you as it was not for me. Perhaps it is a stylization or game play preference issue for me. The best that I can say is that I absolutely despise the combat that is the center point of what should have otherwise been a rather well thought out plan for a game.
Great ideas going for this game but the controls are terrible. Can't even hardly shoot the enemy's. Like a mouse running away from a cat. Make the controls better like project Phoenix and you will have a 4 to 5 star game.
Ignore everyone else. Game is epic. Devs, stop making garbage like woolyball or whatever it's call and make UltraViolet Dawn 2.....perhaps UltraViolet Dusk? Lol. Anyways, love the game. Either bring on the updates or make a sequel. And ditch the garbage games. Waste of time. Violet Storm is ok but why waste your time making a dumbed down version of UVDawn? Stick with what you do best. And hurry with a sequel before your company has some surprise bankruptcy event. Final verdict, if you own an idevice then you should own UVDawn and Project Phoenix. Nuff said. Sketch - OneHitGamer Creator
The game hasn't been updated since the iPhone 4, so it doesn't scale and you get huge letterboxes. Gameplay is kinda stunted and lots of things are poorly designed.
