Ulta has become gimmicky and greedy! Employees are egotistical and uninformed! As someone who has spent thousands of dollars, promoted, purchased and given gift cards for years, it’s time to say no more! Changes to the points earned system on top of sub par “beauty experts” the lack of qualified hair stylist. Getting someone fresh out of beauty school trying to convince me, I will need to pay 1500 to lighten my already half grey hair. I have spent so much money at Ulta, I was able to purchase 2 Dyson air wraps, plus extra long barrels all with points earned! So yes, I spent a fortune at Ulta! Now I’m done! Do your selves a favor, stop shopping here! Do not let them near your eyebrows, nor your hair!


Lately this app is really buggy

I’m using IOS 15.2.1 on an iPhone 13. Normally I never have issues with this app. It’s says a lot about the developers because I’ve been using it for about three years ?. However, since about November (2021) it lags on open when I’m using cellular data (2-4 bars, currently 3) and times out, or if I hit my favorites to try to get around it, sends me to a login page where it just times out out again after I hit enter. It just happened again on my work lunch and I really need foundation (1st world I know). I feel it’s an app issue, because I have several shopping apps and right now, none are having this issue. Hope to get an answer or a fix!

I paid off and closed my Account Sept 2021. I found out in December they were charging me a $80 late fee for what??? I still don’t know. I paid it off to be done with them. I had them send me documentation that it was closed. Despite all this, they are STILL trying to charge me! They robocall all hours of the day. They even did on Christmas and New Year!! There were times last year I would get robocalled even when I didn’t owe a payment!! Don’t give Ulta your business or Comenity Bank (their servicer). No hair dye or makeup is worth the headache or harassment.

UPDATE 20 January 2022: The app remains 2 stars. I don’t love that it doesn’t remember you when writing reviews. I wish you could interact with reviews on app (helpful/not helpful). The in-app Chat with support is awful - if they send a link you click, it kicks you out of your chat, so you don’t get any help. Overall disappointing. The app used to be pink and colorful and worked well. In the last few weeks there have been many changes and some aren’t great. I’m not a fan that the cart/bag moved from the bottom dock to a tiny icon at the top right. I love that my status to Platinum or Diamond is on the home screen but it’s stark and very white now. I like the For You screen displays items previously purchased multiple times but I wish I could remove items I won’t buy again.
