Everywhere is “too far to deliver”

Literally everywhere. I live in a college town so there are countless fast food restaurants within 5 minutes of me. Everywhere I try to order from says its too far to deliver. Even restaurants LESS THAN ONE MILE from my apartment. Honestly whats even the purpose of offering delivery at this point? Absolute joke of a food delivery app.

Not for those saving money

Convenient and sends promo codes but extremely expensive with limited options. It’s not for those looking to save or support small businesses. I’m only lucky to be able to afford it which is why I use it.


Terrible Customer Service. Driver avoided negative review.

My driver brought me the wrong food, from the wrong restaurant. I handed it back to him and told him where I ordered. No other orders in his car, I asked where my order was- and he said back at the restaurant. I immediately called the restaurant and they told me he already picked up my order. Frustrated- I contacted support that my order was given to someone else. Support ended the chat on me twice abruptly- and the delivery driver cancelled my order when I tried to contact him directly- which prevented me from leaving a review on him. I was no longer able to order the food from the restaurant since it was a lunch special. Uber eats offered no compensation, and refused to let me speak to a rep on the phone.

I’ve used Uber eats for years and today was the day I finallly uninstalled the app. I was a frequent user of 1-2 times a week. Today I ordered for priority delivery and was charged $1.89 for the food to be delivered in 40-50 mins. After I placed the order the delivery time jumped to 80mins. I had a work meeting and wasn’t going to be able to get my food that was left outside. I tried to contact support twice asking for a refund of priority delivery charge since was going to take so long and I no longer needed it. The first agent Sochin ended the chat telling me nothing he could do. The second agent told me that they could do something I just had to wait for food to be delivered. I waited and contacted support for a third time when they told me there’s nothing they can do on there end because of their system. I asked them what kind of business model is this. I wasn’t asking for the refund on the food just the $1.89 charge for priority delivery. I’ve never asked for a refund previously in my years as a customer. Anyways use if you want but I’m no longer a customer. Yes I know this is petty but this is the worst customer experience I’ve had with anything in a long time!

I didn’t get two of my plates and they gave me a refund however they didn’t send someone else to fix their own mistake
