"Tunebox has been around for a while, but a recent redesign really makes it shine." - Lifehacker
Tunebox organizes the music in your Dropbox account, so you can browse by artist, album or song, and play with a full featured plmusic player.
The first time you run Tunebox, it asks you to help it find the folder where you keep your music. Then it finds all the audio files, indexes and organizes them for you. Start listening to music while it's doing this, and when it's done, you'll have your whole library on the go.
To use Tunebox's new offline mode, just tap the icon next to a song to save it for offline play. At the bottom of any album or directory, see how many of the songs are saved for offline, and save them all at once. Swipe a song or album to remove from your device.
It doesn’t show any music until you go to the “Browse” tab and visit the folders one by one, and doesn’t load metadata and album art until you manually play each song. This is weird and confusing and probably explains all the 1-star reviews. Once you jump through those hoops, though, it works great and does everything you’d want.
On the iPad version I really have a hard time seeing the track information in the smaller left window. no matter how I orient the window it’s hidden just above frame... Even when I click to enlarge it the info doesn’t show up... this would be great if it were resolved. Or to be able to click a “now playing button” and see some list version of your history and upcoming shuffle songs.
Bought this app was all excited and after one hour of using it now keeps shutting down. Very disappointed and would like to be reimbursed
Hello, the app has been updating for a couple days but no songs are showing up. Any fix?
The app is very good for streaming music since Dropbox doesn't actually have its own functional music player. However, it'd be nice if when going to the album tab, the albums are sorted through album artist, not artist of the song. This separates a lot of my albums and ruins it a little. Aside from that, the app is nice and the streaming is smooth.
I've been using the app for about 6 months. Accessing about 300 GB on music in Dropbox. All functions within it rarely work, such as Artist, Album, or Songs listings. Freezes and then shuts down during 'updating music' process. Only works for me if I browse the Dropbox music folder to select the artist/album/songs I want to play. Hoping for a fix to the issue soon.
Jukebox used to be great. In IOS 9 it crashes often. Also it tends to jumble multiple albums from boxed sets of vids into a single useless album. The app needs a lot of work.
After play 3 or 4 songs , app stop to work , sometimes stops in the middle of the song , maybe app needs a update
Love this app. Sharing music with family through Dropbox without having to sync every device with iTunes has made life so much easier.
App stopped working on 6S, wrote them asking if they're planning on updating and got no response. Will change the review once it starts working again.
