Having been using this app for years

Osvaldini

I’ve been up using this app, faithfully, since the mid-2000s. Love the ease of use of this app. You cannot go wrong with putting all of your travel arrangements in the comfort of all in one place. Highly recommend.

It has been 5 years since I initially gave it 5 stars. I wish I could give it even more

As an organizational tool alone, Tripit would have been the be best travel app ever written. But it is now even more than that. It watches my flight status and alerts me when flight changes put my connections at risk. It gives me one-touch access to alternate flights. But even with the free version that I started with (I now gladly pay for the yearly Pro edition), it helped me organize my trips so I knew if I had booked my flight, my hotel, airport transfers, my dinners, and adjusted time zones for my meetings and presentations. When travel was busy, it was easy to overlook a detail, but Tripit shows it to you in a timeline that makes sense. It also has easy reliable and USEFUL travel info like what types of electricity plugs and how much to tip. Tripit is a great, easy, well-thought out app that organizes travel in a logical way. It is the Gold Standard for travel organization, and it’s logical functionality should be a blueprint/ideal for all apps. In summary, on a scale of 1 to 10, it’s an 11.

Alerts, gate changes, airport map, LOVE IT!!

Bad frogs

I mean…. This app is THE BEST! Started with the free version and upgraded because my husband and I LOVE IT! No more hunting through email for all your travel plans. Air bnb, airline, rental car, etc. it’s all in this app! Best part is you don’t need to manually enter anything. TripIt will recognize travel itinerary in your email and automatically add to your trip it. The only reason I gave four stars is my hope and wish TripIt team will figure out how to dissect third-party travel companies such as, Great Value vacations for other travel companies. I needed to manually enter our 10 day Greece trip through three different islands. But… I also love the Airport maps with UPDATED closures due to covid. Also love… my sister is a member and we share travel plans. No more emails! When she visits Dallas from Boston I can easily pull up my account with a shared user and see when she’s arriving or any changes that occurred. Love TRIPIT!!

I want money back

They’re missing the below: 1) point tracker is missing UNITED Airline or MileagePlus. Not sure why, they have millions other airlines but not UNITED. 2) cannot route planning to the itinerary or the time line. 3) I don’t see a place to keep track of the receipts. So disappointed.

Widget does show correct info

Trips are not updated automatically.

Beyond 7

As pro subscriber, lastly my trips have never been automatically updated. It worked only couple times in the beginning of my subscription. It also delays one to two days. It is not worth it to pay subscription. App in The Air and Kayak are ways better than tripit.

Can’t travel without it.

Useless so far

Synced email to TripIt, the only itinerary it has is a trip I’m not even taking but was sent as an option. I have 3 other trips with flights, stays, etc and doesn’t have any listed. Deleted within a week

Why the need for PII?

DullesFlyer

TripIt now requires personal identifiable information, eg date of birth, to now use the iOS app. Why?? The terms and conditions state it optional to provide that information, so TripIt and it’s company, Concur, can’t even follow their own published terms. Lastly, I can log onto the website and there’s no requirement to provide DOB or other PII. For reference I’ve used TripIt for over 10 years, and have been at the Pro level all that time and my date of birth and other PII have never been required - just credit card info and email. Apple, you claim claim privacy is a right, well this needs to be addressed for the TripIt app.
