Transplant Hero - Medication Reminder, Pill Alarm

Transplant Hero is a beautifully created app that helps transplant patients deal with the seemingly impossible task of taking their immunosuppression medications in a timely fashion.

Transplant Hero is the unique medication reminder where patients can invite family and friends to participate in their care. As a Transplant Hero Guardian you will be privy to your Hero’s medication regimen and get alerts for taken or missed doses.

Recognizing that no person is an island, this closed network is a tool to increase communication between Transplant Heroes and their Guardians so as to maximize better health post-operatively through medication adherence.

At the core, Transplant Hero is an alarm system that alerts the user when it is time to take their medication.

However, Transplant Hero is so much more! It is an interactive, educational and simple to use tool that offers users positive reinforcement for medication adherence.

In talking to patients over the years, it has become evident that taking medication is not easy. First of all, there are so many! Secondly, these medications apparently need to be taken at all hours of the day and night.

Transplant Hero clears up the confusion by focusing on some of the most important medications and timing them appropriately — so you don’t have to. Together with that you have total control over the timing of the medication notification.

In application you will find the list of the most common transplant and prophylactic medications, there is also the option to add any medication to your list.

As you know, serious problems can arise due to medication non-adherence. For this reason if you have a transplant, you need Transplant Hero — because everyone needs a helping hand!

Main features:
1. Add any medication you need (select from the list or add new).
2. Use recommended schedule or adjust timing to your personal lifestyle.
3. Quickly check your day schedule and details of each dose time.
4. Easily change the first dose time to adjust the day schedule.
5. Get notifications when it is time to take your pills.
6. Earn cool awards for taking medications on time.
7. Invite family and friends to share your medication regimen.
8. Join as a caregiver to get alerts for taken or missed doses.

Please fix the login

This was a great simple app, everything worked seemlessly - but I just switched phones and now I can’t login at all. Please could this be looked at urgently. That would be really appreciated.

This is an amazing app for a transplant recipient...I mean HERO!

I am a new kidney transplant recipient (I received my gift on June 8th 2019!) and this app helps remind me not only of the times to take my anti-rejection medication/regular meds (I never forget to take them, just need to know the times) but also of the importance of taking them, by telling you that “Your transplant loves medication” and things of that nature. And it’s cute because it also gives you little rewards for taking them consistently! It also has within the list of its medication in the app, all of the popular transplant medications, including the new one, Envarsus, which thanks to the app, I now take AND its working well for me! Thanks Transplant Hero! This app is a God-send! ♻️?♻️?

Doesn't work

This app doesn't work. We stop getting alerts and now we can't even log in. We have reached out to the developer multiple times with no response. Don't waste your time with this app!

It would be even more helpful if It would let me in...

Gave up on app after many unsuccessful attempts to login. Is there anything else that I can try?

Going with a better app...

I honestly really loved this app and have used it for months. I got tired of being told that I was putting my life at risk if I didn't mark off having taken my meds on the app. Yes, sometimes I'm not at my phone but I take my meds every time... Not having a way to mark that off was pretty annoying. Yes, I get it's an accountability thing but there should a way to mark the difference between late dose, missed dose or one you took when your phone wasn't next to you (I can't have my phone on me at work.) Also, like most transplant recipients I take meds for other conditions. Some of them require meds twice a week and another one requires them only half the month. Not having those options meant I couldn't add them to my list of meds.

Could be 5 star with couple of fixes

Need to be able to change alert tone so a missed dose could sound a load alert. Also need to be able to adjust dose to a 2 hour late instead of one hour or make it customizable in settings. Would pay for themselves upgrades

Reminders are great

I tried alarms but my phone sound is very often off. This has been helpful as I also get a text. I am 4 years out and mostly on top of taking meds but this is a great for keeping me on it. Thank You

Hoped it would work, but not really

I was very excited to see an app that would help me track the complex medication schedule I follow post-transplant. Unfortunately, I will need to find another way. TH couldn’t keep my iOS devices synced (iPad and iPhone), nor did it survive with a viable schedule after my first set of changes came through. For some reason, the med timing could not be modified and I was stuck with an unusable schedule and nonsense alarms. I really hope this gets better and takes off, but I need something consistent to help with this important task. Good luck!

I like the app however if I took my pills 2 mins before the alarm and run off to a meeting and miss the alarm then I get yelled at and the app locks me out from confirming I actually took the meds. So it appears I’ve missed my meds when I haven’t. Working people need a manual override. Also I deleted a med and entered a new one. All of a sudden my alarms reverted back to previously set times for some reason? I had to go back and reset each meds schedule. This can take a lot of time when you have a lot of meds. Please continue making this better its excellent for making sure we take our meds and offers our med list on our phones!!

Fun way to track meds
Exude_awesome

I like the app a lot. I like that I get to check off the meds I’m taking, and I like that their is an option to set up care givers so their is someone else to keep track I’m case I forget my meds. I like to be rewarded for taking my meds on time. I just wish their were more rewards.
