The methods used to establish how good someone's ear is in terms of matching sounds and whether one sound is higher or lower than another are very good and im sure quite accurate, but the app would be still more useful if it included an additional stage of evaluation that asks the user of the app to use her/his own voice to match a pitch that is played. i scored 100% and know that i have a good ear but i would like to know how accurate or inaccurate i am when trying to match pitches with my voice. When a person is tone deaf this is where it becomes most obvious to others and can be embarrassing to both the singer and listeners.most people who notice someone is not singing on key won't say anything because they don't want to embarrass the singer. But if the singer is not made aware of it, I can ultimately be more hurtful to them. this app seems the perfect tool to discreetly help someone in that situation. helping someone to realize that she/he is unable to match pitches with their own voice would be best and can be useful for non-tone deaf people too.

This app is pretty convenient for what it does and how quickly it does it. It explains what tone deafness really is and you take a test that takes a few minutes and get immediate results. Couldn't be more simple, really.
