I needed a time tracking app on my phone so I did a quick search, tried a few of the top results and soon realized they were all too complicated, too confusing to use, stacked with features yet still unable to provide the ease of use and features that I need. I’ve been using TimeTag on my Mac for years and at first I didn’t realize they have a mobile app as well. This app is perfect. Clean, simple, gives me all the features that I need and it just works. Thanks for providing such an amazing app for free, really makes my life a lot easier.
Paying a yearly fee for a timer???? Unreal. So many other choices. A subscription? Really?
Ive been using this app for years to write out last months specific category time records to a spreadsheet file. As of the Jan 3 update, it appears to only write out the entire unfiltered database. Other than that, it works great.
I have been using TimeTag off and on for a number of years depending on the requirements of specific clients. It has always satisfied my requirements when I needed to track/report my time and activities. The last update made the app much more intuitive, much easier to use, and, most importantly, gave the user valuable information "on the fly" that might have previously required additional user effort. If you need an app that will allow you to categorize your time and generate reports for clients demonstrating goals achieved through your efforts, this app is the best in the store. Additionally, if you would like these activities posted on your calendar on the dates of activity, this app will do that for you also.
I am a consultant and have several different clients that I bill different hourly rates. Before I got this app, I would write down the client name, hours worked, and a summary of the work performed in the iPad Notepad app. Well, that got pretty messy and tedious, so I decided I needed a modern day equivalent of the old punch-in, punch-out clock used back in the day. I found a few apps, but the others seemed like they had things I didn't want or need like expense and mileage tracking. So I gave this a try and it is fantastic, especially for the price. It has a simple interface, allows me to summarize my hours based on the customer (using tags) and the developer is VERY responsive. I asked for a feature via email and he responded within a few hours and had the added functionality in a release that came out less than a week later. Awesome service! Thanks for a great app at a great price ...
This app is perfect for tracking time. It allows you to set a timer or add in your time afterwards. You can also put your hourly rate in so it'll track how much you have made. You can even keep categories color coordinated. It allows you to filter through what you've added and export as PDF or CSV. This is great for freelancers. I love it!
This is the perfect app for me... if I didn't repeatedly get "Error" about ten times every time I use it (no exaggeration). This has a great interface and very smartly thought out, but I had to give up using it because of so many error messages, or pop-ups telling "Error: could not save" etc. Extremely irritating
I'm an attorney, and this app has helped a great deal in keeping me current on my billable time. However, here's the one improvement I think it could really use. TextExpander support. When I make a note to remind me of how my time was spent, it seems to take almost as much time to enter the note as it did to do the work. It would be wonderful to be able to simply enter one of my codes (such as "pxxep") and have the app fill in the "Prepare, trust, wills, durable powers of attorney for asset management and health care." That would earn this app my undying loyalty and five serious stars. Without that capability it is a good app. With it it would be a stellar app.
I use this app everyday. It really helps me keep my time divided to where I need it the most. I can analyze those nasty time eaters and put a stop to it. Working on commission this is very important, and puts $$$ in my pocket well worth it.
I have tried using time tracking programs in the past but without any success. The way this one is set up it is very easy to use. I can now output, at any time I need, a chart of where my time is actually being spent. A life changer!
