Thumpies is a unique rhythm based music game for players of all ages. By correctly matching the beat of bouncing Thumpies, the player progresses through a song. If the player hits the targets in time, their Thump’o’meter slowly rises, but if the player misses or hits out of time, the meter falls. Unlike typical rhythm based games, Thumpies uses a mechanic of bouncing in time instead of just a series of notes. One way to describe Thumpies is a rhythm game crossed with juggling.
The quirky art design of Thumpies is accompanied by a unique musical score composed by award winning industry veteran David Kerr. The music was crafted with game play in mind giving the player a harmonizing experience.

Wonderful characters and backdrops, With excellent Mike Pattonesque sounds and unusual beats, with great overall presentation. I like it a lot and would definitely recommend it. I would also happily pay for some add ons, the short loops are good, but the characters and sanples are so entertaining it would be great to play a full melody with them.

After level 5 is completed (pink thumpie) is unlocked game goes to home screen. Once the main screen comes up, you touch to start and it crashes. Reboot/re-installing will not fix.

Awesome concept but I wish the animation and sound synced better. When I'm done with the beat and the loop starts it doesn't even sound like the same rhythm. I'm a drummer with a very good musical ear so I know i'm not just messing up the timing. Please try to improve this and it will be one of my favorite games. But right now it's just too hard to follow playing on hard with the animation lagging behind the beats.

Is is truly an amazing and unique game. Few games come around that take a genre to a new level and thumpies xl does just that for the rhythm game genre. This is a must buy

From the characters to the music, everything about this game is refreshingly original. The graphics and animation are top notch. There are a couple of issues - the animation seems to be a little out of synch with the music & I have yet to electrify a Thumpy. I also don't understand the scoring - I can hit every note and get a lower score than a game where I missed some notes. Even with those issues, this game is so good, I still give it 5 full stars because it so much better than most other games out there. Highly, highly recommend. I'm sure the issues will get resolved.

Game is really irritating at times. Many stages have a round where you only have two notes but theyre so close to eachother and dont go along with the beat... It will drive you nuts. Deleted it after getting about 50% through the game. The different monsters also appear to all be the same except different skins. They dont make different sounds or anything

if you get sucked into purchasing this game after reading this warning. Like me, you are probably thinking who cares if the music is off sync with the graphics??? Normally it wouldn't matter. But this is a completely musical game --- and this problem negatively affects EVERYTHING about the game. There is also a high potential risk of repetitive motion injury if you don't have the Ipad on a surface at the proper height. Buyer Beware.

I really like this game. It gets confusing at times because in some levels the thumpies overlap, but after some minutes of analizing the tunes, you get it. It is true that there is a bit of a lag which can get somewhat frustrating, but overall, the graphics are awesome and the tunes are very unique and creative.
