App shuts down every 30 seconds

I love This Old House.....forever. So I was excited to get this app. Unfortunately, it shuts down every 20-30 seconds. I can’t open anything. Start to scroll or look for an episode and down it goes....over and over. Hope it’s just a short term issue. If so I’ll revise this rating...... I increased the rating from 1 to 3 stars....but still buggy. Often shuts down when searching for a How To Video. Have tried to watch a video on installing a backsplash more than 5 times. Shuts down every time. Did watch a few episodes of series 41 but can’t believe I have to watch the same three advertisements five times (about 5 minutes) for a 28 minute episode. Went from episode 6 back to episode 1 instead of 7. I expect more from This Old House

Wow! Floored to have the opportunity to stream and access a searchable library of this show. I highly recommend the TOH Insider program to all fans. Well worth it for the fun little extras like live Q&As and episode extras. Excited to see how the app will integrate with and augment my insider membership;) This app is buttery smooth and highly intuitive. Five stars!
Love the show, software not so much

Such a great show, and I love watching the old episodes, so I paid for the insider access. However, I’m continually let down by their web site, and now by this app as well. The app is buggy, doesn’t always respect the orientation on the iPad, doesn’t remember which video you were watching or your progress in it, and there’s no way to exit the video cleanly. These are the most basic features and they didn’t get them right. Wonder if they even tested them.

I tried to use the app once the Roku channel for TOH started getting flaky and wouldn’t play content or tried to play the wrong content. There’s no way to cancel or stop playing a video and go back to the listings without force quitting the app? Really?

I can’t tell you how long I’ve been wanting an app. This is exactly what I wanted. Works great on my iPhone. Plan to try the Apple TV later tonight.

iPhone 8 iOS 13.1 Love this show and want to dive in but the app crashes so often I can’t watch the videos.
A couple of features would make this 5 stars

It would be awesome if it kept track of which episodes you have watched and marked them as watched, especially since I’ve signed in. Also, if it intergraded into the Apple TV app, that would be awesome! Then you can see what’s up next to watch!
It is a good start for an App !

When watching a video there is no way of exiting the video and returning to the screen before to choose another video. Once an episode is done it kind of half crashes and yet continues to play the next episode. You can see the menu behind it when the next episode begins playing. Also nothing tells a user if they have watched an episode or what they haven’t watched yet!! Still it is a good first try for an app, just a lot of rough edges!
