Simply Amazing

Doootman

From the beautiful landscapes, thought provoking puzzles, and beautifully written story, The Talos Principle is by far one of the most amazing games I have ever played and probably ever will. I thoroughly enjoyed every second, and could hardly bring myself to stop until I had 100% the game and the DLC. If you’re on the fence about getting this game I highly recommend it.

Best Game Ever Played

LC229

Challenging, beautiful, vast, intelligent, suspenseful, good story line, can replay levels. I could go on forever about it. I wish there was more!

Incredible, with minor nuisances

CalculatorCat

Beautiful game, graphics, story - it’s a treat. However, the controls for “place an object on top of the cube on this mine” and “walk forwards off the ledge and blow yourself up” are precisely the same thing, making precise placement very frustrating on levels; I know a solution, but am unable to place the objects as needed (in specific the C5 ‘jammed’ level). Update: tapping the ghost-object also places it, in addition to the dot that appears. My issues were solved, and I was thoroughly impressed by the game.

Swipe the top-left corner toward the right and the menu appears.

Dexterity required

Robert Yule

I thought that this would be a puzzle game but it turns out that a lot of dexterity is needed. The controls do not lend themselves to this kind of dexterity and for us older guys the requirements are too much. Money back?

No iphone8 plus resolution

RandalMcdaniel

It did not even take 1 second to realize this game uses a scaled resolution on iphone 8 plus. It looks blurry compared to other games After playing jade empire, gta:sa, monster hunter, bully scholarship edition then coming to this.. talos principle looks super blurry in comparison. All the other games appear as crisp because they use the real iphones resolution. This should too I understand/appreciate the optimizations to the visuals and can stomach the lower res textures.. but come on. Native screen resolution is paramount. Talos principle uses a resolution of 1472x828 Iphone 8 plus screen is 2200x1200 or something The result is a scaled image. Blurry. And considering iphone8 plus is more powerful than ps4/xb1 and scores 40% higher than a 7th gen intel i5 on geekbench. there is no excuse for this. There should be advanced video options. Mobile devices are not weak. Its not developers job to worry about peoples phones overheating. Other games give you a warning if you turn up the graphics really high. My phone can handle it its my phone not yours Please i want talos principle to be CRISP AND HD!

Terrible controls

SurrealNYC

I’ll keep it short and sweet. The puzzles are challenging and that’s great, but the controls constantly freeze or don’t respond. It makes the game unplayable since there are many puzzles with very critical timing requirements. I would have finished in half the time if not for this issue. Not worth the effort.

Really fun game

sharpe end

I don’t usually rate games but i have really enjoyed playing this one. The puzzles are challenging and fun. The scenery and music sets a mood somber mood of a lost past. If you like puzzles give this one a try.

For kill or be killed gamers, not relaxing puzzle gamers

Abro716

I stupidly bought this without investigating further. The graphics are nice, but I thought this would be a relaxing yet intriguing puzzle game a la Myst, The Room, Legacy, etc. however, you have to move quickly before something kills you and I’m not a fan of those type of games especially when there is no instruction on how to use the “jammers” or weapons. I have tried pressing on the mind to stop it I have tried pressing on the camera to stop the mine, but I always get blown up. Too stressful and frustrating. There’s no way to turn off that element. I imagine this is easier on a gaming laptop, Xbox or PS4. Too difficult on a mobile device. A huge huge waste of five bucks.
