Could be a lot better

Often fails to load the current version of the paper. Don't think they ever update the app. Not any better than home delivery which is often problematic. If you can't deliver electronically or in person, why have a newspaper?

The worst news app available

This app was terrible before but now it is completely broken with the new IOS update. The software needs to be updated, developers! Won’t load so it is completely useless.

This app is the biggest piece of junk that I am forced to use on a regular basis. It takes FOREVER to open and routinely crashes at least once, often two or three times, EVERY TIME I USE IT, forcing me to go back to waiting FOREVER for it to start back up so I can resume reading. Happens consistently on two different iPads. I'd give it ZERO STARS if I could. FIX THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!!!! Update 9/25/2017: SERIOUSLY?!? Not working in IOS 11?!? And how much lead time have you had??? I guess that's one way to avoid fixing all of the other problems... Just let it break COMPLETELY. If that's your true strategy then do us all a favor and just pull this app. If I'd wanted to read the paper in a browser I wouldn't have installed this piece of junk in the first place. This is seriously making me contemplate cancelling my subscription entirely. Thanks a ton... FOR NOTHING!

Not compatible with IOS 11

Since iPad update the app will open but cannot read individual articles. Each page has the blue “loading” icon but it never loads. App was spotty before. Now it doesn’t work at all. Need to cancel subscription since I can no longer read the newspaper.

Doesn’t work with iOS 11

Since updating to iOS 11 the app will not load. The blue “loading” block appears on all pages but none load and nothing but the headlines are legible. I have an iPad Air 2 so it should be compatible. Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it seems to be working.

The app used to work okay, but now nothing loads. I have the newest technology and I refuse to uninstall and reinstall, this paper is just not worth it. Goodbye DDN

I don’t like the changes to the look and functionality of the new version. The constant ad across the bottom of my screen is irritating. I think you’ve taken a step backwards on this one.

This is the worst. Can only get thru about 20 pages before it crashes. Have deleted and reloaded and the same. It only gets one star because there was no way to give it a zero star rating.

I prefer the electronic version of the newspaper and the visuals of this latest remodeling of the app are adequate, but the frequent crashes are unacceptable. Cox has been steadily losing it’s newsprint customers, and it is on the way to seeing their digital customers disappear also.

Bad App

This is the worst App I have on my iPad. It constantly disappears and I have to restart it. The ads across the bottom make my reading the paper very annoying. I had to put black tape at the bottom of my iPad to cover it up. I can’t get thru the paper without it dying. Ridiculous for a paid service. I cancel the real paper because I couldn’t get the paper consistently in the morning. Now I get it when I want but can’t read the whole thing. Better fix this DDN or I’m gone as a customer.
