I decided to buy this app last week, before a planned trip to New York City (the best testing ground for such an app!). It worked like a charm, although the whistle could barely be heard above the din of the city. If you want to grab a cabbie's attention fast, this is the app!

I used this for the first time last night in Manhattan and it actually worked! Sure, you can hail a cab without it just fine, but I think the fact that it flashed brightly caught the attention of the cabbie much more quickly. Good job.

This just funny application. If you want to be goofy with friends. And probably it works too. I don't see how it would promote getting the iPhone stolen like some knuckle heads suggest.

I love this app in my iPad. The whistle is useless. The sign is Perfect! I use an "iPad glove" (New Trent Grabbit Case) to hold my iPad with this app.

Love the color scheme. This app should get rave reviews once the screen size of the iPhone increases in diagonal dimension. Ditch the whistle--unnecessary; nobody can hear it. I have the phrase taxi, taxi, taxi,… programmed into my LED banner (Scroll-it). Both seem equally effective.
