Censorship on messages

This app has words that they sensor. I repeatedly tried to send the same message containing the word “trash” and the app would never allow me to send it. Eventually I tried just typing the word “trash” and trying to send it and that wouldn’t send. The rest of my message sent just fine without that word though. Maybe let people know up front if you’re going to censor them, so they don’t waste their time contacting customer service about their messages that won’t send. Since I can’t send it in a message on the app, I’ll say it here. This app is TRASH ?

It took forever for me to figure this out, but I was getting “message failure” when sending some messages. I finally realized that the app will not send a message if it contains certain words. Weird, but I guess I can understand some words, but it wouldn’t let me send a message with the word “stupid” in it. I was telling someone I was on a flight that got in “stupid early.” I tried sending the message 8 times, and then sent sections of the message, some of which worked and some didn’t. I finally narrowed it down to that one word. I sent the exact same message one last time with every word identical except I changed the message to “very early” instead of “stupid early,” and it worked. I can’t imagine why the developer would restrict a word like that, especially completely out of context. I don’t want to run into a situation where I might be in a hurry and have to figure out which word they find offensive in order to get my text through. If they don’t like “stupid,” then any word could be on their ban list. And it’s got nothing to do with my provider. I use that word and others that are worse all the time and they go through just fine on my phone. Very strange!
Waste of time

I had to use 5 stars so this could be on top so everyone can see it! All of a sudden the app stops sending texts ! Every time I send texts to anyone it would fail ! I’ve contacted their support times without numbers and they keep telling me the same thing over and over again yet they never fix the issue! I’m using the latest version of this app yet it’s keeps failing texts ! I don’t advise anyone to download this awful app

I was unable to view certain messages because they classified them as “premium” and it was stated that I would be able to view these “premium” messages when I made a Talkatone purchase. So I purchased Talkatone+ and what do you know, nothing changed. I was scammed. Save yourselves and use another app.
Doesn’t let you say what you want

Ever since the last update, this app won’t let you talk the way you want. If there is any words relevant to cussing, criminal justice, fire arms, and sex, the message will fail to send every time until you take those words out. I wish I was lying. Check for yourself. How controlling and toxic is that?

App used to be great but recently it’s been censoring words and it won’t send texts with the littlest sensitive words. It’s stupid, it’s not the app’s problem to read what you’re sending. Should be fixed. Great app otherwise.

I needed an app that lets me 1) have a US number 2) let's me call and text unlimited using. With wifi this app lets me do just that! I am using an iPhone and it works just fine! You can also pay a few bucks to buy minutes and that’s a really nice option for me (it works on the tablet as well)
