Submerged is a third-person combat-free game in which you explore a mysterious flooded city and discover the beauty of desolation in vast outdoor environments. You take on the role of Miku, a young girl who has brought her wounded brother to the city in their small fishing boat. Navigate the flooded city streets by boat, scale the drowned buildings, and use your telescope to scour the city for the supplies needed to save your dying sibling. As you explore the city at your own pace, you encounter the habitat that flourishes in this colorful place and discover hidden objects that piece together the story of a broken world and a broken family.

Game Features

- Vast outdoor environments with a rich, colorful and vibrant habitat present the player with a beautiful place to linger during the day or night, and encounter the mysterious remnants that watch you from the rooftops.

- A serene and relaxing game experience; take your time to enjoy the sunrise and beautiful vistas, listen to the sound of the ocean, or observe the playfulness of the creatures that inhabit this place. There is only one pace in this game and that’s your own.

- Discover the hidden objects that piece together the story of redemption, sacrifice and determination, and learn more about how the city came to be this way.

- Cruise through the city streets in your small powered fishing boat, using your telescope to identify which of the various buildings contain supplies and mark them on your map.

- Discover the best path to the objects you spotted from afar. Dock your boat at tall buildings and landmarks and climb the vines, ladders, ledges and pipes as increasingly difficult navigation puzzles.

- Developed by an independent studio based in Australia, consisting of AAA veterans who have previously worked on the BioShock series, with music from BAFTA award winning composer Jeff van Dyck.

Reviews

Does not optimize for devices like the iPad Pro
Caleb Kierum

The iPad Pro has a very powerful processor and as such it should be possible for the game to have a larger distance field for rendering details and have an anti-aliasing pass. Unfortunately neither of these are in the game and as a result the game looks not so good on the iPad Pro.

Edventure at its best

No violence. No combat. Just a chance to explore at leisure and solve the puzzles. I liked this game a lot. The graphics were great. Some reviewers did not like it but it is not the game that is bad, it must be their expectation for combat and a challenge to their dexterity. This game is peaceful and you not die all the time. As far as I am concerned, my money was well spent.

Eh

I like the background but the move to control makes it impossible to play. I can barely turn the boat half the time and the character walking or climbing is impossible as she either refuses to do the action or go the wrong way

HORRIBLE Controls!!!
Kayla&Shawn

I still cannot understand why some developers refuse to include a virtual joystick in their games! The whole “touch to move” and “touch to stop” thing is terrible. Touching the screen and then moving it around to control the character’s direction is awful in almost all games, and this one is no exception. Then there’s the climbing thing where you have to swipe in the direction you want to climb. It’s terrible too. I got stuck on a wall because no matter how much I swipe the character just stands there looking around like she’s confused. I ended up closing the game 3 minutes into playing it because of the horrible controls. Please give this game a virtual joystick so we can have true control of the characters movements. Also, fix the climbing. Using a virtual joystick, we should be able to just point it up in the direction we want to climb, and the character should start climbing.

Battery

Good game but it drains the battery fast. Please fix

Disapointed

I was expecting more. On many occasions after obtaining/locating many items, the game would shut down and didnt save any of it. When I re open it it would start again from the begining.

Loved this game!!

I don't see what everyone is complaining about. The controls are simple.. they really are, maybe I'm just a gamer. I'm playing on a iPhone 6s iOS 10 updated and I don't see anything wrong with the graphics, the game doesn't crash or lag when I'm playing it. I think people expect every game to just be perfect. All games and apps can be improved in time. This one just came out so give it time. In my opinion if the game is crashing for you it's probably because you don't have a lot of space on your phone or you're not updated. But I really enjoy this game so far! The only thing I would say is if it would actually show the stories when we collect the secrets because the pictures can sometimes can be confusing to figure out. But I'm not all the way through the game, maybe it shows it all in the end.

Crap

Doesn't function on my iPhone 6 at all waste of money

Crashtastic

Looks like it would be a fun game to play. If it did not take a minute to load and then crash every 3 minutes of play. I have tried everything on my iPhone 6S+ and the stability issues persist: power off, delete stuff, close apps, you name it.

Disappointed

It has been a long time since I spent $5 on a game or any app for that matter. Looking at the previews i thought it might be worth it. I was wrong. The graphics are not very good. I've played the game for 10 minutes and it has crashed 4 times. I have spent more time waiting for the app to load then actually playing the game. At this point I'm cutting my losses and moving on.
