BATTERY LIFE
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
To track your activity in the background on the iPhone 4, 4S, 5 and 5c, Steps keeps track of your location. We've gone to great lengths to minimize battery use and make sure your charge still lasts all day, but there's no getting around some impact on your battery.
*** A note on location ***
Steps needs access to your location in order to track how far you walk in the background. If Steps doesn't update while it's in the background, please open the Settings app and go to Privacy -> Location Services. Make sure that you have enabled Location Services for Steps -- this should resolve the issue. Thanks!
I have reviewed and tried other apps and still use others also with this app and I like to make sure they are all sorta equal to one another in keeping accurate data. This app surely keeps up with other walking/step counters . I love it
Yeah the steps on the app are not accurate. My Fitbit says way more. Sync with fit bit. Your app is unable to be truthful
The layout is quite easy and simply. No fumbling (while I’m running ) to find out how many steps I took because it’s blatantly there on the screen. I HATE when I have too many different buttons and words and I’m trying to just find the simple number of steps I ran or walked. Download it!!
I have had this app for many years. I do not want to update. Yet today 2-24-20 I walked over an hour and it only shows 53 minutes. The other day I walked 45 minutes and it showed 22 minutes Please fix. Thank you
Until a few days ago, this app worked as advertised. Now it freezes ipon opening with no data shown. I deleted the app and reinstalled. It worked once and then again refused to open. I have latest IOS and have restarted iphobe to no avail.
Haven't has it long, but so far, it days I’ve walked 0 steps. I just wonder what, exactly, it considers steps.
