Reviews

Nice but simple
Tsithlis

Nice useful program but a couple of bugs. Edge cannot be reduced to 1, program beeps and vibrates phone with every touch of a button with no way to disable it. All in all though a decent little helper.

good, could be better
Vaelen

would get five stars if it rerolling didn't use the damn slider and it didn't vibrate everytime you touch anything

Good stuff
Ellauff

This is a fantastic little tool. The slider takes some getting used to, but it does prevent accidental rerolls. The latest update was much appreciated, especially for the ability to turn off the sound.

Unimpressed

I have four dice rollers installed to support various gaming systems, and this is the worst. The UI is poorly conceived, requiring three actions to roll the same dice pool repeatedly. I've never installed an app that violates so much of the iPhone HIG so inconsistently. The free version of this app is actually better than the paid version.

There are better ones out there

What I Liked: I did enjoy the 8 bit graphics, and the highlighting/indications concerning which dice can from edge adding dice, and exploding sixes. The app informs you of glitches and critical glitches The app is clunky but I can see people getting use to it and at 1 dollar it is a lot cheaper than dice The app won't be abducted by your cat like dice will. What I did not like: The app was ok and fills the function but it is not very user friendly. The random number generator is not very good. At low numbers there are excessive pairs and it seemed critical glitches were very common, even at 4 and 5 dice I got critical glitches 5 or 6 times more than glitches which does not match with probability. With large dice rolls the spread of the dice is more often than not boring and even. The one sound with accompanying vibrations is really annoying but can be turned off. This also means there is no sound of dice rolling which many gamers enjoy. There is no way to view dice history. There is a dice roller included in the shadowrun character manager that is slightly better and you get it in the package for a dollar more.

Great App!

This app is so useful that I have started to leave my dice at home and I am the GM.

Sweet update

Just have to say the update is awesome. I use this App at our Bi weekly runs and now it is even better then before. Thanks

Cool app, missing the old look
Everwho

This is a very useful app for players of the Shadowrun game and is one of the more useful dice-rolling apps I've seen, even if it is only applicable to a single game system. The most recent update added some much needed functionality (namely the ability to save commonly used tests), however, I greatly miss the cool black and green "low tech" look of the app that really made it feel like an in-game element. The use of the official Anniversary edition page graphic is cool, and gives it an "official" feel, but an ability to choose your interface, allowing us to go back to the classic look, would be really awesome.

Crashes in iOS 6
Falcron58

Well this was nice till the iOS6 upgrade and since then it won't load. They did an update to this app that did not include a fix for this and because it still works on iOS 5 well you get the picture. Don't get till compatible with iOS 6.

Simply Great
Fred99999999

Simple to use, great for GMs who don't want to handle handfuls of dice.
