The SparkNotes app requires an easy in-app subscription to get started. You’ll have the first month free to see why the SparkNotes app is the best way to study on your iPhone or iPod Touch. And to celebrate the launch, we’re offering special intro pricing: you can get all of our award-winning SparkNotes literature guides for either $.99 a month or $4.99 a year! It’s crazy.
Subscriptions allow you to view the full study guide content found within the app, and are available on both a monthly and a yearly basis. Your subscription will automatically renew—and your account will be charged—unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions, and turn off auto-renewal, by going to your account settings after purchase.
Your support enables us to bring you the fastest, least distracting way to study, and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming next! Let us know what you think, and share your ideas, by using the feedback link in the app’s Settings menu.

I got this assuming it had everything the website had. I’m happy paying $5/a year. Don’t see why they couldn’t offer the works of philosophy that are available on the website.
Since the site keep getting bugged, I tried the app. Guess that was the plan all along since they charge you for what is free online.
The website is free because it has adds why can't you just add som adds so every one can enjoy this. All the good reviews are teachers saying students are trash.
Why would I ever use an app I have to pay for when I could use the website for free?
While I think it’s silly to charge for the app but allow for free on the web, I’m willing to pay. But the app won’t let me and says “no products available”. The App Store entry doesn’t even list any in-app purchase options. Weird.
I downloaded the app today (12/28/19). On the app store it states the price is $.99 per month or $4.99 per year, but the app states it’s $1.99 per month or $9.99 per year. I haven’t used the app. This one star rating is for the price discrepancy. It may very well still be good value at the higher price, but it is unacceptable to present the wrong price in the app store.
This app would get a 5 star rating if I could only purchase a subscription. It’s priced fairly, and I don’t mind paying for the convenience of having the info condensed into an app. Could you fix this issue please? 5 star rating after this bug is fixed.
