Too gimmicky now, not as accurate.

SH was once, not long ago, highly accurate and returned results in a flash. In the last year or so, the app seems to have undergone some major changes to both the analysis engine and UI (waiting) interface. "Dusting off records..." and so on is cheesy, gimmicky, and rather annoying to see each time it searches, imho. SH also seems to get stumped and can't find music like it used to. What happened?
Unable to search when connected to Car Play

I'm using iPhone 12, connected to a 2018 m550 with car play. I can't search for songs when connected. Only on Bluetooth when is bad.

This app no longer works, whether it’s a song I got from using the app about a year ago or songs that’s I’m trying to find. The app just doesn’t do anything anymore and I mean before, when it worked it didn’t really work all that smoothly either. I’m uninstalling, the creators don’t deserve my ad revenue.

I really like this app but I think they should add an option to play videos. Like play a video with a song you like and they find the song from there

I have dozens of pending recordings dating as far as back as 2016! You would expect they have an AI or humans checking such old recordings, but no, if something isn’t identified today, it will never be identified. also, breaks audio quality if you listen the song on the same phone to external bluetooth speaker, when starting soundhound it breaks the audio quality. pending searches are only saved on the device. if you login into a new device you cannot view your pending searches.

Song is stuck in my head and no matter what I did in this app, it couldn't find it. I bummed it, I sag it, and I typed in its lyrics. Feel free to check for me. "Don't stop the beat. Don't stop the beat. Don't stop the beat. Don't stop the beat" is what I typed in, sang, and hummed. It's a fairly straight forward tune too. I even changed up the words incase I got any of them wrong. I changed all of them except "beat" because I know that is definitely the 4th word. I chose everything that rhymed and since that didn't work, I tried out words that were somewhat similar. I am putting in more than my fair share of work in and this app just wastes it all. Also, the app was poorly designed. Navigating it and accepting things and pressing buttons is a mess. Some buttons say "done" and the notice won't go away when you press it, it goes away when you press somewhere else on the the screen. It sends you to web pages with certain button presses for no reason too. 1 star is generous.

This app used to work better, lately if has started to give completely bogus results. Somehow misidentified a groovy reggae song for an alternative music one that didn’t even remotely sound like it in music or lyrics.
