Worthless

This App is worthless. It showed that my internet connection was “good” when on truth the connection was down.

Pretty good, but minimal

I really appreciate what this app can do: monitor what devices are using the Wi-Fi, and when. I also like that they recently added the ability to turn off WiFi at certain hours for certain devices, called Profiles - a great parental control! However, I wish the features had more control. For instance, the Profile can only be set to the same on/off hours every day, but it would be great if it could be different hours each day. Or multiple on/off times in the same day! That would be much more helpful to parents. But mostly the app works well.

Countless Problems

Easily one of the worst built apps I’ve encountered. Hardly a single thing that has worked. Set up you couldn’t access once logging in; MFA wouldn’t send anything; app freezes constantly - just to name a few. Had to call in to resolve the issues which was a 40 minute call with att and the tech operator even mentioned how terrible the app is. If you can avoid this app at all, I would!

Overrated

There is nothing ‘smart’ about this app at all. First off, it refuses to remember my login, throwing a ‘service error’ every time I load the app, forcing me through the login loop. Secondly there are zero controls for actually managing your network. No port forwarding, no NAT controls, no DHCP settings, etc. (yes, you can’t even change the subnet used for the internal network, so you’re screwed if it conflicts with something else.) The only thing that is _remotely_ smart about this app is that you can assign profiles to people in the household and (manually) assign devices to each profile (but good luck determining which “AppleDevice” or “AndroidDevice” is whose). You can then set schedules per profile. However there is nothing that breaks down bandwidth usage by profile or device, so you can’t tell who your bandwidth hogs are. Even worse is the app’s (or maybe more correctly, the service’s) ‘security’ setting. It’s on, or off. That’s it. No controls over security levels, no proactive whitelisting or blacklisting. No protocol filters, no rate limits. No transparency. The ‘security’ amounts to an after-the-fact alert that an insecure URL was blocked, with an option to whitelist that hostname. No context. No URL-level details (e.g the actual URL in question, just the hostname). You have no idea what is in the master blacklist, nor who controls it. So far (2 months of service) it’s had a 99% false positive rate. So, you might like the service from AT&T. You might like the price, or the performance, but this app doesn’t have any positive traits to add to the experience. Ultimately, the best way to manage your AT&T network is to setup a completely separate network router that actually has some kind of controls and ignore this app altogether. Unfortunately, since you have so few options in this app - you cannot turn off the AT&T router’s WiFi, nor set it into bridge mode - that means you’ll have two WiFi networks and a double-NAT setup, but at least you’ll be able to see what’s going on with your network.

App Won’t Block &/R Delete Devices
Pamela of Oakland

Learned why this app won’t block or delete devices. AT&T employees are working with the persons who are connected to you Network and giving them access through your gateway and this App.

App Doesn’t Work

App doesn’t work using QR code or opening on iPhone. Error message pops up indefinitely. Website does work and has decent features. It seems they are replying asking people to send in screenshots of their errors. I recommend they get to 2005 and add some error logging

Cannot sign in
Cannon2012

After I consolidated my AT&T IDs, I have been unable to sign in to this smart home app. It shows an error, and doesn’t not provide any option to sign in again. I spent 1h to call at&t support, got transferred to multiple agents. The last agent said it was a bug. There’s nothing I can do but wait for the bug dix. It’s been 4 months and still not fixed. So 1 star.
