So frustrating

I had high hopes for this app. I've recently changed from an Android phone to an iPhone. I absolutely LOVED my android app, Mighty Grocery, but its not available for ios. This one doesn't measure up. Trying to add items to lists was an exercise in frustration. Sorry I wasted the money, I'm still on the hunt for a new grocery app.

Edit 3/23/17: I use this app daily for groceries and shopping and added a star to my previous review. I have customized as much as I can. Things I like: multiple lists, customized catalogs and categories. Things that drive me crazy: constantly reminding me to add a category when adding items; having to hit multiple buttons to switch filter between checked and unchecked. This is so aggravating! I use the grocery list daily and prefer the unchecked filter setting so I only see what is still needed. I don't always clear the previously checked items so if I try to add an item that is checked on the list the category flashes red to show it's there. But to add that item you either have to delete all checked items and re-enter it or Hit settings-filter-show checked- uncheck item-settings-filter-show unchecked items (whew!!). Please add a checked/unchecked button to top bar or enable us to easily uncheck an item that is already on list and checked. PLEASE, PLEASE!! Then 5 stars and a great donation! Old: This grocery list has potential but, for me it is counterintuitive for regular grocery shopping. 90% of a grocery list are repeat items so why would i want to delete all items and start over every week? I'd rather keep my list populated with my customized items and just uncheck them when I need to restock the items. And rather than show on the category heading the number of items checked, shouldn't it be the number of items unchecked so you see how many items you need to get? Also, rather than having to go into settings, filter to choose checked vs unchecked, why not have it right in the list heading? Pros: fully customizable, iCloud sync ( which is why I bought it) Cons: not intuitive for regular grocery shopping.

Having used a variety of 'Shopping List' apps from the days of the Palm PDA devices, this app provides a substantial number of features that makes it stand out ahead of the pack. While it took some effort to set up my custom shopping list for each store, the flexibility of customizing my lists, and the benefit of ease of shopping, made it worth the effort. For the user who may not want to customize, the app has a significant number of items in a Master Catalog that can be used to create lists. Additionally, the Master Catalog items can be edited to tailor them to the user's individual needs. Most important: No glitches or bugs in the app have yet been experienced.

I really love this app. The amount of OCD it allows me to inflict on my grocery shopping is DECADENT. As soon as I can change a price in the list and choose to save it to the catalog AND I can change what aisle an item is on from the list and have that save to catalog, I will leave a five star rating and a tip!!!
