Love it!

I've always wanted to share free locations but didn't know how. THANKS!

This app improves as the crowd improves.

Great potencial

Love the email and collaboration with LensBaby location contest. Limited only to students... Can we have more suited for pros?

Frustrating, befuddling, and non-intuitive
Discochef

I have tried for the last hour to figure out how to use the program to no avail. Although the program does do a good job of triangulating a user's current location, use of its primary feature (which is to discover good places to shoot) only seems to display locations which are located nearby somewhere you have already added pictures for. What I would like would be an app that I could use to research cool locations that I have never been to before. Another way of putting it is to say that you must first submit a series of photos and identify here each was taken. Once you have entered a picture and it's location, then you can search for other nearby locations submitted by other users. But if you haven't visited a location and therefore haven't added it to your list, there is no way to discover good spots in that location before you visit and add at least one picture of your own, or if there is a way to do so i have been unable to figure it out. I love the idea of the app, and greatly dislike it's implementation.

Great potential-if you could figure it out
Batman's Girl

I agree with both reviews - great potential and very cool idea but it's frustrating. I even went to the website for help and that's even worse than the app. I was hoping to discover potential shoot locations in my area. Or at least start documenting locations that I know of and use. Maybe it's that no one else is using this app and maybe that's because it's frustrating to use. Or because it hasn't been advertised somehow? I really like the concept, though. It really needs to have a supportive website, too.

Find locations all over if you want
Cmndo

From the Nearby page, tap on the Map button on the upper right to pan around the globe looking at the locations that have been added so far. There is no magic starting place for a database of locations. There is not another app that does this, so the reality is that you are here on the ground floor. As you add locations future frustrations will diminish. We appreciate feedback and are working to make this app the best it can be. There is a feedback form in the app on the More section. But seeing that that's not working we'll make a better solution. The app works. You can add locations, follow people, reply to locations, and use the nearby page's map to look for locations all over. It's not an amazingly easy to use app yet, so that's what we're working on.

Amazing app!

This app is GREAT! I've posted a few locations and benefitted off of other peoples location posts. Great way to find places to take amazing pictures. Feel free to follow: Jacob Wilson Photography.

Essential for a pro
Weaving light

This app is phenomenal. It's a great idea combined with a slick interface and an intuitive system. I'm suggesting it to pros I know and we are gonna build a local database of locations.

Few pros will use this
voudou

Here is the thing, experienced pros spend a lot of years scouting locations and have no interest in sharing aspects of their work that make them different. When you put the work in to set your creativity apart from others, instead of just copying what others do, then you are working like a pro. This app wont help you develop that mindset. Also it is not very clear how to use. Deleting now.

Agree with voudou
Billy Shearrs

He's right on point. That being said, this app presents a potentially useful tool that seems to Be poorly executed.
