“Are you enjoying Shift?” No. App crashes. Devs, please stop begging for reviews like this, and if you do, make sure that while you’re interrupting someone actually trying to use your service, you don’t further interrupt them by having the whole thing blow apart. I was seriously considering a few test drives on cars I’ve found on Shift, but now, after reading some of these other reviews, I’m not so sure that I’m interested.
They should drop the letter “f” from their name

BEWARE Absolutely agonising experience in trying to buy a car with them. Utterly incompetent sales staff who seemed completed uninterested in trying to complete a purchase. If they’re this bad at taking people’s money, one can only imagine what their “150 point car inspection” is like. On the app itself, it’s slow and crashes. Amateur hour from top to bottom.

Shift is really great at taking your money and getting you the car. Every other aspect of their services are not great. 4 months after purchasing vehicle, not registration or plates sent. Problems with vehicle taking weeks to be resolved in person. Crap repairs provided that are nowhere up to dealership quality. Customer service is absolutely horrible. They advise they will call you back, but never do. When you call, no one can provide the answer you need. Save your money, this start up is in desperate need of help.

Looking for a car for my wife. Found one in our price range. Scheduled a test drive. They bring it to you. Wife loved the car. I checked the engine for leaks and belts. Everything checked out. Bought it on the spot. Including the test drive, had the car financed within an hour. Excellent service. Extremely easy
The BEST experience

My boyfriend and I both bought our cars through Shift and seriously had the best possible experience. The price you see in the app is the price you pay. Period. No surprises. No haggling. The people who bring the cars are friendly and never pushy because the company respects them enough to pay them whether or not they sell you the car. You can finish the paperwork in your own kitchen (or politely decline and try another car another time). It’s how car buying REALLY should be.

We were buying a new car and planning to trade in our Honda Fit with the dealer but the offer they gave us was so low that I decided to look into selling it on my own with Shift and I’m so glad I did! I fired up the app late Saturday afternoon, got an instant quote that was 50% more than what the dealer offered me and booked an appt for 1pm the next day. Within less than 24 hours I sold my car at a great price (just saved a few thousand dollars) and the money was on its way to my account via ACH. The experience was insanely fast, easy and painless. Thanks Shift!

After scheduling a test drive. Less than 30 minutes before appointment, they cancelled my test drive, due to them apparently transferring the car to a different lot. When we tried to reschedule the test drive they said booking to test drive the car was full for the next day.

Just bought a BMW 328i with 71,000 miles, they delivered it straight to my driveway, I was able to finance right through the app, test drove at my home, definitely recommend this company and their app :)
