I'm so glad someone made this app. I absolutely love that I can film what going on, and still access the answers to rights questions, very cool feature. I have used ACLU, Copwatch and few other apps & I love the design of this app much better. I hope the developers keep updating the content and this app succeeds.
This app is genius. I can do use this when I travel cuz I can’t just memorize the laws of the country I’m visiting, I barely know the laws in my own county. It’s almost like having a personal lawyer in your pocket.
I’m surprised how useful the Reyets app when it comes to so many things, not only knowing your civil rights but also the state of the art real-time cloud uploaded video capturing and the accessibility to really important resources. Let me say this an app that everyone needs to have in their phone!!!!! ──────▄▀▄─────▄▀▄ ─────▄█░░▀▀▀▀▀░░█▄ ─▄▄──█░░░░░░░░░░░█──▄▄ █▄▄█─█░░▀░░┬░░▀░░█─█▄▄█ ──────▄▀▄─────▄▀▄ ─────▄█░░▀▀▀▀▀░░█▄ ─▄▄──█░░░░░░░░░░░█──▄▄ █▄▄█─█░░▀░░┬░░▀░░█─█▄▄█
Law student here. I am so very glad I came across this app. The ability to access info about your rights during police interactions while simultaneously recording/streaming video within the app is a very solid workaround for iOS’s inability to record video in the background while using another app. The sharing/streaming/one-touch recording features are also great. My only suggestion is that there could be a little more state-specific legal information. I could be wrong, but it appears that some of this functionality exists but hasn’t been fully implemented yet: the video window of the app displays icons correctly showing that NY (where I’m from) is a one-party consent state and a stop and ID state, but touching these icons yields a blank page with a “show all states” option at the bottom (touching “show all states” also yields a blank page). The information about rights during a police encounter is very good. However, in a few sections I think it might be a good idea to include a bit more state-specific info. For example, the stops & arrests section titled ”If police stop you while walking” includes this: “In some states, you must give your name if asked to identify yourself.” This is correct, but there are some pretty significant differences among stop and ID states regarding the kind of information one is obligated to provide if stopped by the police, and including some kind of state-by-state overview could potentially be helpful. At the same time I understand that there is a limit to the depth of info that someone in a high-tension LE interaction can be reasonably expected to take in. I think the app does very well indeed at communicating the most important information clearly and succinctly. All in all, 5 stars and I’m def recommending this to my friends and family.
This app is amazing! Provides you with all your rights (traffic, women, immigration, work place and much more) in one place. Love how you can record and send any issue directly to a lawyer or post on social media.
Great idea! I can record and read my rights at the same time. WOW!!! Thank you for creating this great app.
A timely app with a slick interface to boot. I love that the camera kicks in as soon as I open the app so I don't have fumble around in case of an emergency. The location overlays and meta data are pretty neat too. I haven't seen too many apps that do that. Having quick access to your rights, on the spot and easily organized by topic, is a big confidence booster in case you are in a sticky situation. The live recording to the cloud means that your footage can't be "erased" or lost. I've always wanted an app like this for myself and my family and never found one that hit all the marks. I hope I won’t have to use this app in real life, but I feel a lot better knowing it’s in my back pocket.
To think you know what your rights are is one thing, but to REALLY know your rights is another. Reyets educates you and gives you the power to record in real-time. What a powerful tool to have in your arsenal. So easy to use. Well done Reyets team, well done!!
