App freezes up

I have been using this app for several years. About 2 weeks ago it started hanging up and freezing. I have 3 different iPads I can use and they all do it, although the oldest one does it less often. Really frustrating to have to end the app and go back in, which doesn't always fix the issue. What's up RGJ? 11/3/20 update- no problems in several months now. I prefer the print edition format.

I like to read local news; so get discouraged when I read about hiking or travel in other states. Especially when it’s a repeat from USA Today. Love the local restaurant, theater content. More please. sometimes the app is a little slow to download.

Every time I open this app, it behaves differently than the last time I opened it. 1. Opening the USA Today bonus edition starts a loop back to the editions page, without opening USA Today. 2. As stated by others, the icon shows png, not rgj. 3. Sometimes the current edition opens, other times other editions, yet other times, I’m taken to the editions page. Very unstable and erratic. Needs work.

1. Beginning on the morning of Wednesday, Nov 4, we have been unable to open the USA Today edition via the iPad app. When the USA Today image is selected, either by scrolling through to last page of RGJ or by selecting USA Today directly from the Editions page, it appears to be loading but does not, with the screen reverting back to the Editions selection page. The RGJ editions open as usual, but no longer USA Today. 2. About a month ago (maybe longer), we discovered that the “Print Edition/rgj” app graphic had mysteriously changed to read “Print Edition/pnj”. We thought it was odd (pnj - funny!) and considered the possibility that RGJ logo had been hacked. However, the “pnj” app worked as usual, and the E-editions were in fact RGJs. And until 11/04/2020, the USA Today editions opened as usual. As instructed during a call to Customer Service on 11/5/20, we uninstalled the “pnj” app (which is actually the graphic for Gannett’s Pensacola News Journal app), rebooted our devices, then reinstalled the “Reno Gazette-Journal Print Edition“ app from the App Store, with same result. After installation the app logo still reads as “Print Edition/pnj” and USA Today still won’t load. Same result on iPhone 7s. Please correct this problem now! Clearly others are experiencing the same issues. I try to support local journalism but will cancel my subscription if lack of access continues. Thank you.

Update: Thank you for finally fixing the app. It is now working good. This app has lots of problems and no one every fixes anything. It constantly crashes. For 2 days now I have not been able to open the USA Today edition. It just crashes. You never can get ahold of support. Their chat people just give you canned answers about how sorry they are. Well !! How about fixing the dang thing !!!. I pay for this subscription and I would like to get what I pay for.

to focus the pages so the print gets readable - and that gets really annoying with the comics. No obvious way to force it.
