Renfe does not allow non-EU signups to their system so the app is useless without a Spanish telephone number... Utter garbage.

No vale ninguna pena. What the actual ffff.... even after I bought the tickets online it still doesn’t work; I can’t link the tickets with the locator code

I wanted to purchase ticket online as at the station they would only take cash (what year are we in?) and the ticket machine would not take my card (they only take contactless card and my card only has a chip). Anyhow, the app says "We cannot assist you at this moment. Try again later." It does not matter what date or time I select, it says the same thing. Useless. Online none of my payment methods were accepted. I finally was able to purchase the ticket with the Go Euro app and Apple pay. Purchasing a ticket has been a major stress and took up half of my day. Please, Renfe, make it easier for customers from other countries with all types of cards to purchase train tickets.

I would normally say it is operator error, but this app is simply terrible. It wouldn’t accept my phone number. I was finally able to get passed that by putting in a local Spanish number (the hotel I was staying in). Then it wouldn’t accept my username (I tried multiple email addresses). Whoever wrote this app needs to find another job.
