READING MAGIC 2 features a second section of words which contain advanced consonant blends, words such as blimp or scrub.
READING MAGIC 2 has over 300 words to interest your child, and help them learn how to blend, segment, and read words with consonant blends.
READING MAGIC 2 also features both male and female voices for every word and picture.
Please note that there may be many words on this app that are not in the everyday vocabulary of the young learners using this app. Use this as an opportunity to build vocabulary.
In order to give lots of practice to build strong skills with blending, segmenting and reading many words were needed including those that are outside the realm of everyday common words. There is no need to know what the picture is beforehand for blending and reading. For segmenting, the picture can always be touched to identify itself.
A team of educators using accelerated learning techniques and Montessori principles developed this fun app, which your child will enjoy using as they learn. It has been tested and successfully used with preschoolers.

This is my second purchase. Those who like reading magic 1, this app will be their second choice. It's layout still the same, but their content are getting more advanced. I suggest to add some sound effect and explanation to those flash card. Beside in learning the correct pronunciation, children must appreciate the meaning of those words.

a very informative app. a good app for kids to learn the reading of words. this one concentrates on consonant blends, and there are many words included. but the interface is not very attractive, and I think some words are too complicated for kids.

The concept of this app is superb. The approach is good, the app is well set out with very clear instructions. My reservation in giving this more stars is the clarity of the recordings. Some words do not sound particularly clear when replayed. This app would be truly enhanced if the words were written on screen, and there was the ability to replay a whole word as well as the broken word sound bites.

It's pretty obvious that lots of research had gone into developing this excellent app that teaches your child how to read. The app takes a few different approaches, which is blending, segmenting and reading. Each approach is designed to assist and enhance your child's reading skills - this is an app that you should get and at the same time use WITH your child in order for them to reap the most. Highly recommended!
