I thought access to my Sheets on iPadOS with an iPad Pro and Smart Keyboard would be helpful for adding mobility to my productivity with Quip. The reality is, this app is even worse than the web-app counterpart in Safari for working with Sheets. Want to navigate between cells using your keyboard? Nope. Can’t navigate around cells using the arrow keys. This app is wedged between touch screen and type, causing you to go back and forth to get any real inputs/edits done in Sheets. Also, no Dark Mode support. Files app integration doesn’t work natively (it appears as a source, but you can’t browse files using it—a modal window appears with blank results).

Its ok. Most of the time I get the message telling me that the doc hasn't been downloaded to my device so I can‘t open it.

Having used Quip on macOS for over a year, I’ve been fairly happy with it. Now, with my new iPad Pro in hand, why not try it on iPadOS? Well, right out of the gate, while attempting to edit a Code Block to fix someone’s typo resulted in the kind of unexpected behavior I haven’t experienced since I gave up using Microsoft Word circa 2005. I merely tried to add a missing } on a new line in the middle of the code block. While it did add a } where I had intended, it reverted the text on that line to normal Paragraph formatting. But Quip didn’t stop there. Sadly, it ALSO converted the remaining lines of the Code Block to Paragraph. Thank fully, Undo works great but no matter how many different ways I tried to fool the formatting engine, Quip would simply not behave in way that I expected, the same way that *every other* rich-text editor behaves.

Something is wrong with the iPad google integartion. I’m unable to even sign into the account, but it works fine on other devices.

This app is useless. I went on to try to find out when my brush head was going to ship and I couldn’t find anything about it.

Using quip everyday for work and it’s a nice app. Would be great if mouse and trackpad support is added for the iOS/iPad OS soon.

Stable, full featured, and intuitive. It would be a 5/5 for me if there was a dark mode.

Super difficult to use. Horrible interface. I’m sure it works better for small groups, but trying to operate from within a class of hundreds of people was atrocious. Impossible to find anything that wasn’t starred as a favorite because of the volume of files.
